This is the '80s movie soundtrack. Rick Morannis is a very believable dorky Seymore, but lacks vocal talent. Ellen Green is very cute at sometimes, but when she belts, oh gosh cover your ears. You can tell that her voice isn't really like that fake accent and she tries a little too hard not to break out of it. Audrey 2 is a really good bass and I really like him. If you are looking for a good recording of Little Shop of Horrors (if you are like auditioning for a community theatre version, etc) buy the broadway version! But if you are a fan of the movie, this is for you.Free Music Review: A triumph. Simply wonderful.

My parents and I love to watch this film together, but I can't watcha musical without singing along! This is by far my favorite modern musical. The best track "Downtown (Skid Row)" not to be confused with Petula Clark's version, this one is far catchier and very much the feeling of coming home to a less than posh neighborhood after a long day. "Suddenly Semour" comes in second with stunning vocals from both lead characters and the theme is cute and catchy. I'm so happy to see the actual soundtrack is still available, I'm going to pick one up right now. (Hey, check out the movie, too. It's great!)Free Music Review: HOLA!

Wow, me again (if you didn't see my other review for the other CD then HI!)! Back to the CD... :) I think this CD is the best, although it's missing at least 5 songs Free Music Review: "...Down on Skid Row"...is where it's at!

It's not enough that the movie is fantastic, but its soundtrack is even better. (Yes, it's possible.) The "Skid Row Supremes" (Crystal [Tichina Arnold], Ronnette [Michelle Weeks], and Chiffon [Tisha Cambell]) sing us through the tail of Seymour and his plant via the hit songs in the movie. The Prologue is one of the best cuts on the soundtrack, because it is like a I'm-warning-you-to-get-out-of-town song. Another great one would be the tempting Suppertime, where the ladies tempt you to "come on, come on...it's suppertime..." I personally think this soundtrack is better than the Original Cast's release. Hopefully, you will too.
