Even though I am very late getting this CD, I am enjoying almost every minute of it. If you were a fan of Billy Squier as I was, you already knew that Alan had talent. I believe I developed a love of the piano/keys in the rock genre while listening to Billy's songs. It is also quite evident why Alan was the perfect choice to sing backing vocals for Billy. Which is not to say that he is strictly a background singer. This CD proves once and for all that he has the talent and the chops to carry any lead vocal. His own vocal arrangements, especially on Fire Island is a real treat.
Love is the Word, Kick, Bitch Called Jealousy & Fire Island are catchy tunes that started me singing along quickly. It's a nice, feel good CD.
I hope that this is not the last we hear from him.
