Free Music Notes for Flavors Of EntanglementFree Music Review: Extreme Brilliance! Hit: 5 Stars
How anyone could give this less that 5 stars is crazy to me. I haven't always been a huge Alanis fan, but I am now. From start to end the album offers insightful lyrics that are easily relatable. Im listening to the album as I type, and it just fills you with emotion. I find that is so hard to find these days with the music market saturated with hip hop and "artists" like Fergie where you can write anything retarded and people seem to buy it. The musical production is also genius on this album. Every song sounds different and swells with a catchy chorus. This is the best album of 2008. Buy it!
Free Music Review: You Whiners Are Not "Big Fans" Hit: 5 Stars
Anyone who doesn't like this CD is not the huge fan as they claim to be. I am sooooooo tired of hearing people compare everything Alanis does against Jagged Little Pill. You people have to move on with your life get over that CD (JLP). That brought Alanis to most of us but it isn't what makes her. As much as I love that first CD It is also my least favorite.
I saw her on tour during her 3rd and 4th CD's and although half the songs in her shows were fron Jagged Little Pill (which really pissed me off) she still has grown with each new CD she puts out.
Free Music Review: The Flavors of Entanglement are sweet and satisfying Hit: 5 Stars
Alanis has always been known to have lyrics that are both poetic and full of emotion. Her newest album Flavors of Entanglement is no exception. Each song offers a different mood and mental states of philosophy. She is able to offer her listeners light songs that can bring you up and offer them powerful vocal expression that you can feel passion from.
I highly suggest this new album. You can tell she took the time to make it hers. The hard work paid off and Alanis fans should be able to get more than their fix from this album.
Free Music Review: Alanis is back! Hit: 5 Stars
I loved the variety of different musical stylings showcased throughout this CD. In fact, I love it so much that I am listening to it right now as we speak. Standout tracks for me were: Not As We, a beautiful ballad, Torch, a song about lost love, and Incomplete, a nice happy-sounding song. From the bonus tracks, my favorite was probably Orchid, one of my favorite ballads of Alanis'.
Overall, this record has a little something for everyone, from the electronic to the edgy to the melodic...
Free Music Review: Tasty Flavors Hit: 5 Stars
I've been an Alanis fan since Jagged Little Pill in college. I identified with her music then, and I identify with Flavors of Entanglement today. She's come a long way since then, and yes, her music has changed, but I'm not the same person I was then, either. I found this to be an enjoyable listen from start to finish, and I'd have to say my favorites are "Not as We" and "Torch."
