Free Music Notes for Time Without ConsequenceFree Music Review: hearkening back in time Hit: 5 Stars
What a beautiful record. The sound is so like Nick Drake and Tim and Jeff Buckley. In this age of candy coated rock and Jessica Simpson, it is such a relief to hear someone playing real, soulful music. Heart searching lyrics and beautiful melodies pared with Murdoch's subtle voice make for a haunting and beautiful album.
Free Music Review: Amazingly beautiful music Hit: 5 Stars
I'm not at all familiar with Nick Drake so I can't attest to how much Alexi does or does not sound like him. What I can say is that I absolutely love this album. I'm not much of a music reviewer, but I know what I like. His voice is soothing and beautiful. I can't recommend this enough to anyone who likes pretty music.
Free Music Review: Remarkable piece of art Hit: 5 Stars
Alexi Murdoch has created a piece of art with this CD. The songs are slow and mellow, but they wash over you like a wave, so filled with such passion you can't help but feel the raw emotion that he sings about. All the songs are great which these days is a rarity. Definately get this cd, if you like any of his songs.
Free Music Review: No need for me to write a review just read this..... Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is excellent, nuff said.......go ahead bring on the negative comments. Stop reading freakin reviews people, GO BUY THE ALBUM ALREADY! So what if it has 3 of the songs from the EP on here (they're re-recorded I think), doesn't mean the other 8 songs are gonna suck, in fact this album feels better with them!!!
Free Music Review: Not Nick Drake? Hit: 5 Stars
I heard this hauntingly beautiful voice and effortless acoustic guitar on XM one day and thought "which Nick Drake song is this?" Discovered it was not the long lost genius of the '60s after all, but his reincarnation - Alexi Murdoch - picking up where the too-soon-gone Drake left off. Fabulous.
