Free Music Review: Kind of let down

Ok I am a massive Alice Cooper fan first off. I have front row tickets to his show in October and I own everything cd he has ever released. Let's get that out of the way first.
The Good:
Vengance is Mine - Great rocking Alice Song and killer guitar work from Slash in there.
Killed by Love - Nice moody ballad/rocker, sounds like classic Alice.
The Bad or the OK:
Every other song, either because of the weak guitar riffs or the horrible lyrics, especially in the song's chrous. They are just so weak, and usually is just Alice repeating the song title over and over and over again. Alice, you can do way better than I'm hungry, I'm hungry, yeah I'm so hungry... we get the idea Alice, bad lazy song writing.
Just very shocked. Alice ALWAYS made great CDs. ALWAYS! What happened Alice?!?!?
So why did I give this 4? Well because Vengance is Mine is an amazing song and I just love Alice to death.
Free Music Review: A little disappointing, but still a good album

I have been a fan of Alice Cooper for a long time and loved his last few releases. I really wanted to love this album to, but found it a little lacking. It doesn't have the same catchy rhymes found on "Dirty Diamonds" or "The Eyes of Alice Cooper". That would be OK if it had a heavy sound like "Brutal Planet" or "Dragontown", but that wasn't there either. I did not care for it after the first listen. It sounded more like the extremely early Alice Cooper and seem to have a very weak guitar sound. The biggest mistake I made was listening to it directly after listening to the new Metallica CD "Death Magnetic", which is like comparing apples to oranges. After going back and listening to the CD a couple more times I was able to appreciate it for what it is. It DOES have some good guitar, just not heavy. It's not one of my favorite Cooper CDs, but it is a good album worthy of four stars.Free Music Review: Wish I'd had the chance to buy it before the Gruesome Twosome tour!

This isn't the best Alice Cooper album in his 47-year career; my vote on that will always be tied up between Trash and Brutal Planet. 'Spider, however, is a very, very good album! I haven't kept up with music since about 1995, so the last decent 'concept album' I'd encountered was Operation Mindcrime. This album, the story of a jailed serial killer, moves along well and I must admit that 'Vengeance Is Mine' gets lodged in my head at least twice a week, along with the memory of the Billings, MT audience chanting 'Vengeance! Vengeance!' while Alice sang from the top of a 15-foot rolling staircase. I wouldn't recommend this for people brand-new to Alice's music (I steer them at Trash and Brutal Planet, also recommending a greatest hits collection), but I have recommended it to quite a number of longtime fans already.Free Music Review: Along Came A Goody...

Been waiting for this Alice Cooper album for a long time.It was well worth the wait.From beginning to end,just a fine collection of rockers and ballads,Alice style.Have been waiting for a real good rock record this year and this one hits the spot.Along with a few other albums this year,this one is in my tops.I Know Where You Live,Wake The Dead,(In Touch With) Your Feminine Side,Wrapped In Silk,Killed By Love and Salvation highlight this strong rock album.If you are a fan of old Alice and more recent,there is no reason to hesitate buying this one.It has hints of the past and new flavors.Get it now...Keep rockin' Alice.Free Music Review: alice rocks out

This is a great cd. Alice Cooper is still giving us great music, something Kiss needs to learn from. Because if they try they can come up with new stuff too. And if you Make music that rocks and you like, the fans will still buy it. Personally my favorite cooper stuff was "brutal planet". I wish he'd return to that great sound too. but this one satisfies my hard rocking horror movie loving soul; just like his many great songs from the past do for me as well. And the songs are really cool with even Ozzy Osbourne helping out. So if you like great hard rock you will enjoy this great cd.
