Free Music Notes for Alice in Chains

Free Music Review: After 15 years...still sounds excellent!
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm listening to this album right now for probably the first time in 12 years. I bought this as a young teen and I was thoroughly creeped out by it, music, artwork and all! Nonetheless, the album mesmerized me. It's dark for sure, but also delicately put together. Staley's voice is stilted by effects and weird harmonies, giving it a very spooky sound. The songwriting is simple, but effective. Earlier AIC albums never stirred me, nor did anything they recorded after this album. Something about this album just captures the best of all their talents and visions. It's dark, weird, and sufficiently heavy!

Free Music Review: Music for grown-ups
Hit: 5 Stars

The album Alice In Chains - alson known as "Tripod", confirms that sooner or later we all change by aging. Not only does our bodies age, so does our values and thoughts. And when they've been growing in our mind for a while, we're ready to share and develope. And that's just what AIC have done with this album. Important thoughts and feelings from deep inside ripped out and put on print. And I love it...as I have all albums. Did you know that AIC changed the name "Tripod" to just Alice In Chains, because they thought the buyers wouldn't get the message. Do you?

Free Music Review: My favorite AIC album
Hit: 5 Stars

A lot of people don't like this album because it's different than previous efforts. Albums like Dirt and Facelift were more metal and melodic, but Tripod (guess why it was named this) was more grunge than those. Songs like "Grind", "Heaven Beside You", and "Over Now" (my favorite AIC song) demonstrate this. This album does have metal songs however, such as "Again", "God Am", and "Brush Away". Overall it's a good album, but I'd recommend getting "Dirt", their finest effort first.

Free Music Review: 5 Stars

just great! the best album of AIC!!!!! buy it, buy it, buy it!! AIC just rocks and is my favourite band! best songs on this album (difficult to say, everything is just great!): Again, God Am, Sludge Factory! have a listen to those songs. if this album is to hard to you, try the albums "Jar of Flies" and "Unplugged". if you like this album: welcome to AIC addiction and buy all the other AIC albums and the Mad Season album (feat. Layne Staley and Mike McCready from Pearl Jam)! enjoy!

Free Music Review: Grunge? Where are you people getting this??
Hit: 5 Stars

Alice isn't grunge...hell they don't remind me of any band associated with that label orignally. Hell, it's yet another stupid label (such as alternative...alternative to what?). Just call it rock, cuz it rocks....great album..great band. They kick a** and it seems they can never do wrong (musically)...can't wait for the new stuff next year (hopefully it will be done by then)...in the mean time EVERYONE GO BUY JERRY CANTRELL'S ALBUM AND CHECK HIM OUT ON TOUR!!!
