Free Music Review: great band, old songs, new perspective
Hit: 5 Stars

Overall this CD is great. If you already are a fan then I would say that it is essential, if not I would recomend starting with MTV unplugged. Here are my favorites from the disk:

Angry Chair>Man in the Box: these two songs pair interestingly together. A odd sounding Angry Chir slides right into a powerful Man in the Box (which is my favorite Alice in Chains song anyway). Great combonation

Rooster>Would?: again another intersting pairing with Would? and Rooster both being spectacular. Neither of these two songs have ever been among my favorites but putting them together live improved on them greatly in my mind.

Other highlights include: a rather sludgy Love Hate Love, Junkhead, God Am, a Little Bitter, and Dam that river

Enjoy!

Free Music Review: Sad testament to the power that ws ALICE IN CHAINS
Hit: 5 Stars

As a huge fan, it's sad to see what the promise of this great band turned into at the end. This cd is divided into 1/3's. The first is taken from the LIVE FACELIFT video and shows a hungry AIC kicking major butt. Then the 2nd 1/3 shows the band at the top of the game and just stunningly brilliant around the time DIRT came out. And then the sad part where the final show is captured on here and the sound of Layne's straining voice seals the tomb on this influential band. Hopefully one day AIC will return in better health and spirits and reclaim the title KINGS OF GRUNGE. A band that is sorely missed and showes what the devil of addiction can do to the human spirit.

Free Music Review: Stellar.
Hit: 5 Stars

The first thing you should do when listening to the CD is go to track 5. "Love, Hate, Love" shows the band at it's finest. Layne Staley's vocals and Cantrell's guitar wizardry is unmatched in the hard rock/alternative genre. "Queen of the Rodeo" is a fun change for the band, and "Man in the Box" is just simply awesome. For anyone who has never seen the band live, I think this CD will give you some idea of how powerful they were live. I do feel there could have been more tracks added. When I saw them for the first time opening for Van Halen I was mezmerized. This is a definite keeper for any AIC fan.

Free Music Review: Finally-Alice Live...Worth the wait
Hit: 5 Stars

How could this incredible live band not release a live album for 10 years.

Well it is worth the wait. These 14 songs show all the power of one of the greatest and most missed band's of the '90s

Incredible versions of Rooster, Love Hate Love and Bleed The Freak.

When you hear Man In The Box, you are amazed at the power of Layne Staley's voice.

A great album

A must for all the fans

See where most of of the new crop of bands got their song ideas... (Godsmack, etc)

Long Live Alice

The real thing

Free Music Review: Holy Crap
Hit: 5 Stars

This was my first intro to Alice in Chains, this album rocked my face off. I truly loved this album and listen to it often I bet these guys were sick live and I could tell by, the quality of the music I was hearing. "Queen of the Rodeo" was nothing less than amazing with awesome vocals and a hard, fast, punky, underlying beat despite the sarcastic "country" preface. This a great album that can be listened to over and over without it aging. Worth picking up, take it form an unbiased customer.
