Free Music Notes for LiveFree Music Review: Alice In Chains - unleased, live the dark life Hit: 5 Stars
it is evident that most of the folks writing in dont seem to realise that maybe the energy created in the live album was generated by the pressures of life the band was going through which might explain the drug abuse and stuff. instead of dissing poor perfomances, take time to sit up and understand their emotional journey. this is a great band and the darkness in the music cannot be just from drug abuse but from the lives that were created for them......
Free Music Review: AWESOME Hit: 5 Stars
I love this CD. LOVE. My only issue is that it could have been longer. Yeah, we got stuff like Would? and Rooster, but what about God Smack? Maybe Columbia (or whoever they're with now, I don't remember) will release another live cd in the near future? I dunno...anyway, if you love AIC, get it. But be warned-it's a bunch of different shows and Layne's vocals kinda...deteriorated a little. If you're new to them, try Dirt or Facelift first.
Free Music Review: Where is "It Ain't Like That" and "Hate to Feel"? Hit: 5 Stars
Tracks 3-8 are all previously released live songs from the two versions of the "Heaven Beside You" CD single, and are all from the March 1993 Glasgow show. That's cool. But the "Angry Chair" CD single also features two live songs from the March 93 Glasgow show - "It Ain't Like That" and "Hate to Feel." Why aren't these two songs on this disc? What else from the Glasgow show was recorded but never released?
Free Music Review: excuse me Hit: 5 Stars
are none of you people writing reviews aware of the fact that layne staley is dead??? scratch your head and figure out if maybe thats not the reason they havent released any new material since 1995. any alice in chains is good alice in chains. so whether its a re-released song youve heard 45,689,273,465,872,463 times or a live recording from glasgow, it doesnt matter. buy the cd.
Free Music Review: EXCELLENT - You can't go wrong Hit: 5 Stars
This is easily my favorite AIC record; absolutely every song is explosive and at least two or three times better than any of their studio versions of the same songs. Turn the wolume WAY UP and smile driving down the road - you will be so happy that you bought this album.
Rest in Peace, Layne! You are deeply missed by all of us
