Free Music Notes for A Hundred Miles or More: A CollectionFree Music Review: Beautiful, angelic voice of Alison and the music behind it, is literally music to my ears. Her voice is like no other. Hit: 5 StarsI know she had to be influenced a bit by Dolly Parton, had to be. You have to listen to her older stuff too. All of it is great, it's a mix around a bit of music. It's a bit bluegrassy, country sometimes, classical sound, strings, all different sounds which is great. But her voice, and the harmoney with other singers is magical.
Great Collection.
My two thumbs and your two thumbs up for this one.
Thanks Alison for having the voice of angel, i'd sing to my love on his deathbed when he was 21 years old after an overdose, coma, brain dead, we didn't know if he'd come out if it. I'd sing "When you say nothing at all" to him daily. 28 days later, he came out of it only to live 10 more years to end his life by running off the top of a nine story building and killed himself. Now i'm inspired to write more then ever before. I just need an awesome band to back me. Your one of my inspirations. Keep up the wonderfully beautiful music.

Free Music Review: A Hundred Miles or More Hit: 5 StarsAs always Alison Krauss delivers a beutiful collection of songs which will live on forever in the hearts and minds of all who listen. If you haven't heard her music or have only heard her along with her band or in a duet this album is a way to renew you heart with the voice of an angel.
Free Music Review: Not bad but not a priority buy for Alison Krauss collection either Hit: 3 StarsI hadn't bought an Alison Krauss CD in years so I decided to get this one when I saw it listed. Ms. Krauss still has a good voice but I wasn't really thrilled with this CD, #6 "Down to the River to Pray" I think came out better on the "O Brother Where Art Thou?" CD, her Duet with Brad Paisley was OK, you could certainly hear both of them, but the James Taylor duet was a waste of time- he was so thoroughly drowned out by Alison that I could have taken his place and no one would've noticed the difference.
I won't throw it away but I won't wear this CD out either.
Free Music Review: Pure Alison Kruass... Hit: 4 StarsAs usual, Alison comes through with a winning combination of songs delivered by her angelic voice. This CD depicts her country roots, but isn't country 'twangy'. It's a nice compilation of songs. My favorite is "Down by the River to Pray"...the harmonies are hauntingly lovely and stays with me all day...good album.
Free Music Review: Pretty good Hit: 4 StarsI'm a huge fan, pretty good music on this one but agree that the mood is more somber and ballad oriented vs upbeat bluegrass. Way better than the Robert Plant one which I didn't like at all !!
