One of Alison and Union Station's best. The songs are all great, and Alison shares lead vocals with Adam, Dan and Ron, which gives the album variety. There is also an instrumental, the traditional "Little Liza Jane" which moves along at break-neck speed. Bluegrass at its finest! This album though has a variety of songs besides bluegrass, including country, pop and inspirational. The 20 page booklet contains all lyrics and lots of photos of Alison and the band. In my opinion, this is the best AKUS album to date (including the new release "Forget about it". I have owned this CD for a year now and never tire of hearing it. Each song is spectacularly done, and it's nice that the other members of the band are heard as well. I am not a country music fan but have always loved true bluegrass music; and this is true, honest-to-goodness bluegrass performed by outstanding musicians. This has to be my favorite of all the AK/US efforts so far. After listening intently for several months, one thing stands out about this incredible album -- there are NO UNNECESSARY or INAPPROPRIATE NOTES, LICKS, OR WORDS. Everything is just right -- a perfect synthesis of style, feeling, precision, and smart production. Long live accoustic music. Thanks gang. About once every five or 10 years you come across a collection of music that captivates you. That's what happened to me with So Long So Wrong. I've been listening to it for over a year now, and the cd has extreme staying power. Every song is a gem, the picking is crisp,clean and masterful, and the singing,led by Ms. Kraus, blends it all together into a delightful listening experience. This album oozes musicianship from beginning to end. Even non-bluegrass fans (including my own preschoolers) will find the sounds engaging and even mesmerizing. AK is a powerful presence, but lead vocals by other band members are impressive too. This will go on my top ten for all time. Bluegrass has never been this pretty and soulful, and may never be again. Please, prove me wrong, AKUS!!!
