Free Music Review: Glory period didn't last very long, but what a time it was

All-4-One is usually only talked about these days in nostalgia-related discussions, but at the time they were big, they were REALLY big. An interracial male vocal group with some of the nicest melodies and beautifully textured harmonies of any 90s boy band, this album rightfully spawned several hits and is very solid throughout. Highlights include the unforgettable Grammy winner "I Swear," the sweet ballad "Oh Girl," and the fun, funky "The Bomb," which is melodically similar to (but by no means a deliberate copy of) the Bobby Brown hit "My Prerogative." One added footnote for extreme trivia buffs: These guys generated so much publicity back in '94 that fans of the old Nickelodeon show "Secret World Of Alex Mack" may remember the episode where All-4-One are the featured attraction at a concert that everyone on the show seems to be trying to get to. Just before the final fadeout, a group walks out onto a stage. Though seen only from the back, it it believed that they were the actual members of All-4-One.
