Free Music Notes for Move AlongFree Music Review: Best of the Best Hit: 5 Stars
This CD, 'Move Along', is probably one of the best cds of all time for alternative/rock. Its intro song, 'Dirty Little Secret', is upbeat and punk, and takes you by surprise and makes you awake for the rest. Pay close attention to drums, because I think it helped make the CD great a big deal.
The second song, 'Stab My Back' is emotional and about betrayal, and more to the angry side then to the sad side, but it is nonetheless a very good song. 'Move Along' has a great drums and guitar intro, also the song the CD is named after, so it shows that it's a wonderful song. 'It Ends Tonight' is suddenly more quiet and peaceful, and it somewhat reminds me of sorrow into the night, as Tyson [vocals] sings as if he's crying for help. 'Change Your Mind' is sung like a conversation, and 'Night Drive' is extremely upbeat. '11:11 P.M.' is also one of the best songs, intense and great. 'Dance Inside' had tended to lean more to the sad, but no doubt a great song because of the assurance in some of the lyrics. 'Top Of The World' is just wonderful, extremely wonderful. 'Straitjacket Feeling' is kind of dry and not one of the best, but good nevertheless. 'I'm Waiting' has a catchy intro with guitars and it's juicy and dreamy sounding. 'Can't Take It' is a great ending for the CD because it's sad and generous violin music.
Overall, this is a GREAT CD that I can't help but listen to over and over and over again.
Free Music Review: AAR never fail to impress Hit: 5 Stars
Rock bands always fall flat with their sophmore efforts, but the All American Rejects album "Move Along" is far from a steriotypical follow-up album.
They are back with their edgy rock tunes with a mix of pop, punk, and great melodies and hooks. Every song on this album has the potential to be a chart smashing single. With the variety of up tempo and slower rock tunes, AAR are back in action.
Their debut album was a masterpiece, the type of album that is absolutely impossible to beat. To be honest, I wasn't expecting to hear such an amazing selection of songs after their long 2 year break from recording. Their sophmore effort is very similar to their first, picking up right back where they left off -- not too commerical, with a good amount of fans ready to support them.
The lead singles "Move Along" and "Dirty Little Secret" are the types of songs that radio and fans are going to eat up. They have a great tune to them, an amazing hook, and the rock/pop/punk feel that the industry is all about. Even the ballads that are included are potential chart toppers. "Straightjacket feeling" is a lyrically amazing, and the closing track "Can't Take It" leaves you wanting more from rock's latest "it" band.
Music lovers won't be disappointed with "Move Along".. whether a fan of AAR, or a newcomer.. you are in for a surprise.
Free Music Review: Another Great Album from AAR. Hit: 5 Stars
Following the platinum success of their first self titled album, The All American Rejects have created another awesome CD with "Move Along." The first time that I ever heard "Swing Swing" on the radio, I knew that the Rejects were going to be a huge success as a band. Their self titled debut is probably the only CD that I could listen to straight through and genuinely love every song. After they stopped releasing more singles, I anxiously awaited their sophomore album. The day of its release, I headed to the Virgin Mega Store to pick it up. Once again, my faith in the Rejects' music was confirmed.
Every song on this album is catchy, well written, and well produced. Tyson Ritter has an amazing voice that makes each song sound like an instant hit. From the power pop-rock of their first single "Dirty Little Secret" to grittier guitar riffs accompanied by a children's choir in songs like "Move Along" shows that these young guys from Oklahoma deserve their spot in the music world.
I cannot say enough about how much I love this CD. It's an awesome album to listen to while driving. Every song can create a sing-a-long with some banging on the steering wheel. Still months after its release in the summer of 2005, I am still hooked on "Move Along." I can only expect bigger and greater things from these pop-rock hit makers.
Free Music Review: Totally addicting! Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this CD for two main reasons - "Dirty Little Secret" and "Move Along." After sampling the tunes I found myself liking a few others and so I took the plunge and bought this CD.
This album has been getting lots of play on my CD player these days. The songs are totally addicting! I'm especially hooked on the following tracks:
Dirty Little Secret (full of energy, loads of fun)
Move Along (love it!! I repeat it over and over again, it's insane! My kids also love it because of its excellent beat. It is also featured in the "She's the Man" movie/dvd and "Bionicle" tv commercials so it's been getting lots of attention lately)
It Ends Tonight (nice, soft, ballad)
Straitjacket Feeling (has a strong 'emo' rock feel)
I'm Waiting (another fast, energetic tune)
Can't Take It (slower, more ballad-like)
Most of tunes are full of energy and are a blast to listen to. A couple have a slower beat and feel more like 'emo' rock. There is not one song in this album that I dislike. Overall, it's an excellent CD. Many of the tunes will stick with you and you'll find yourself humming them over and over. I usually don't buy CDs unless I like several of the songs in the album and this one is definitely one of those rare ones. It's a keeper and one that my whole family actually enjoys.
