Wow! this album caught me off guard! One of my friends referred this band to me, and I checked out their myspace page to hear the new single 'this calling.' I liked it and was convinced to buy the cd regardless of how good the rest of it might be. When I picked it up though, I was blown away by how good every song is. The guitarist use great technique. The new drummer throws some wicked double bass drumming in there as well. One thing to note is that this bassist is a GIRL! Some people who have reviewed missed that, but no matter, everyone seems to like her. This is an addictive metal album. I havent been this addicted to a metal cd since Killswitch Engage's The end of Heartache. GO BUY THIS NOW!Free Music Review: Bold statement

This may be the best album ive ever purchased as well as heard, which is a bold statement considering I spend a great deal of money on cds. This cd is revolutionary in the world of metal. Phil really shows his vocal capabilities in this album, in my opinion he has the best scream out there, ranging for a low growl to a high pitched punch in the face. Not only can he scream, but he also has a very surprising singing voice which is used to the fullest in almost every song. The guitar work and the drumming step up their game as well, including: much faster double bass, and much more complex guitar riffs and soloing. All That Remains an amazing metal band from Western Mass. who know how to rock. All That Remains have been good at what they do since day 1. The New album the Fall of Ideals is powerful and will hit you harder than a brick wall in a car accident. With heavy bass lines to break down your walls and incredible guitar riffs shredding till dawn this CD doesnt dissapoint. Phil Labonte's voice can make your ears bleed with his intense vocals and heal them with meaningful and beautiful singing all in the same song. This Band is for Fans of Killswitch Engage, God Forbid, As I Lay Dying and many others included. It's okay to not be a fan of All That Remains, but if you're going to write a review that makes no sense at all, why even bother?
Now, onto the album. Just like on their two previous albums, All That Remains have been able to make a sound that doesn't tire the listener and stand out in an oversaturated genre. Phil Labonte's vocal style has improved greatly, whether it's the clean singing on "This Calling" or "We Stand", or the death metal style vox on "The Weak Willed". And the guitarists definitely show that they have undeniable talent, especially on "It Dwells On Me". This is one of the most diverse and memorable albums to be released in 2006.

First of all,there are too many people that won't let the "SHADOWS FALL" thing go. To all of you, SHUT THE HELL UP AND GET A LIFE! Now,on with one of the best,if not the best METAL CD of 2006. This CD has it all from start to finish. Brutal screams,wicked drums and some of the best guitar work out there. Every song has it's own way of kicking you in the face. I know a lot of you out there are tired of singing, screaming, singing,screaming. There are not very many bands that do it well,but ALL THAT REMAINS is one of the best. If you dont believe me just listen to the last two CD's from IN FLAMES tried to pull off...NOT EVEN CLOSE!
