What I like about All That Remains is that they are a band that is not afraid to venture out, and that's what they do with "The Fall of Ideals". Phil Labonte's vocals have improved, from the death growls in "The Weak Willed" to the clean singing in "This Calling" (it grows on you, don't worry). And, as always, they are hell of amazing guitar players. Nothing beats a good guitar solo from ATR.
This is easily one of my top 10 albums of the year. I recommend if you are a melodic death metal fan. You don't even have to like metalcore music to like it, as they abstain from the breakdowns here. Highly recommended.

Finally, another metal album worth the money spent to purchase it.
Metal hit a dry spell for a really long time with mainstream pop-metal bands that nearly sank the genre back into the dark ages.
"The Fall of Ideals" starts off with a bang and keep going throughout.
From headcrushing double-bass lines, to wild guitars, to melodic vocals (mixed with snarling ones too)... this album delivers a true experience.
Metal and Non-Metal fans alike can enjoy this album for years to come. Put this in your CD player, hit shuffle, and repeat. You could be satisfied for hours!

All That Remains is really surprising me the more I listen to them. Not only is the technical skill mad, but the melodies, hooks and brutal breakdowns are just flat amazing. Another thing that really surprises me is the lyrics, which are poignant and beautiful... Not like most metal out there. This is my second purchase from the band ("Overcome" was the first) and I definitely see myself filling in the rest of the collection.

I actually found out bout ALL THAT REMAINS on the Zen of screaming DVD, so I thought I'd check them out. I bought "This Darkened Heart" and although the cd was good, I wasn't entirely blown away. Enter "The Fall of Ideals" I can't tell you how impressed I am, I am completly dumbfounded by how awesome these guys have gotten! They melodies are more beautiful & the heavy parts more brutal. And awesome balance if you ask me.

All That Remains have made an incredible CD with The Fall of Ideals. Every song stands out on this album, you'll never want to skip to any particular sobg, because when it starts, you just want to keep going with no interruption. I'm not going to go into details here, that's what you have to do. Just take my word on it and know that if you love metal, you will love this album. Everything about this album (literally) screams perfect. Buy it!
