Free Music Notes for Fall of IdealsFree Music Review: Brutal metalcore with a dash of melody Hit: 5 Stars
From the opening five seconds of this album, starting with "This Calling", this record is an instant success. All That Remains stays true to their New England metal roots on "The Fall of Ideals", mashing together crushing guitar riffs and classical solos, acoustic leads, and Phil Labonte's natural talent of mashing together growling snarls and melodic singing. This record deserves more credibility and radio support than it has received!
Free Music Review: Studmuffins Hit: 5 Stars
Ok, all i can say is i saw these guys live in Houston on the 26th of January and they were absolutely amazing. This album, along with Trivium's The Crusade is album of the year in my book, destined to be a classic, the riffs are amazing, the vocals are crisp, and the drumming is pure speed, nothing less. And their new drummer is even better. :) Every song is beastly, if you don't like this album you don't like good metal!!!!!
Free Music Review: I love it! Hit: 5 Stars
I haven't much to say, but I love this album. I'm not a big fan of melodic singing in metal, but All That Remains definitely hit the mark with this album. Please, oh Goodness Gracious, PLEASE, come back to this (or This Darkened Heart's) sound in your future albums! the Overcome one had too much melodic vocals, and I wasn't as impressed (sorry guys, I'm super drunk right now). Either way, I definitely love this album! PEACE!
Free Music Review: 1st 2nd 3rd all a charm Hit: 5 Stars
This is the third cd by ATR. This is one of my favorite cd's of all time. With instant classic songs like this calling to heavier songs like the weak willed. Every song on the cd is amasing. To the solos whether being drum or guitar. To the masterful vocals by Phil Labonte. To any Guitar Hero fans this cd also has the song Six which is on the Guitar Hero two video game. To me this is a must have cd for any true metal fans.
Free Music Review: Correction Hit: 5 Stars
Ok, I love this album, and I've already written a few extensive reviews for this so I'm not gonna do that here. I'm here to correct some people. The new drummer IS NOT A GIRL, it is Shannon Lucas, a man. The new bassist however, IS A GIRL, Jeanne Sagan. Don't try to correct me, watch the video for This Calling, and I saw them live. So, bullet-point Drummer = Guy, Bassist = girl. And this album = unbelievably amazing.
