....and maybe we will keep getting stellar records from this wonderful singer/songwriter. I attended both of the shows that were taped for this live CD and DVD, and the vibe one gets from listening and watching now comes as close to the excitement of being there as one could reasonably expect. I particularly like the camera shots from behind the bar -- you see Allison through a shelf of hanging bar glasses. Very interesting and creative view!Though I must confess to liking Allison's studio vocals better than her "re-interpretation" and "re-inflections" on some songs, that is NOT meant to imply that she can't pull it off live. Quite the opposite, in fact. She brings a soulfulness to the live versions that show off her strengths as a singer and performer. It's just that I prefer the more "polished" studio sound in the case of some of the songs. It's not a criticism by any means, but rather just a matter of opinion.
And she ain't too hard to look at, neither!
