This represents the very best of the Allman Brothers during the years 69-79 without a doubt. I could listen to this cd all day every day for weeks and never get tired of it. Amazing songwriting and even more amazing instrumentals. One of the best bands of all time. Every collection needs this cd.

I am constantly listening to this albulm. (So much, in fact, that my husband recently hid it from me!) This has all of my favorite songs. Although, I always felt that you have to get a live album to hear ABB at their best (who else can do a tight 45 minute song - Mountain Jam, indeed!) , this is great studio stuff! Melissa and 'Elizabeth Reed' are two of the best songs in rock music and everything else rocks too!

I don't really like the Allman Brothers. I don't like jam music. I don't even like 70s rock. But I love this album. Listening to it in the deadness of an upstate NY winter, it still makes me feel like it's a summer day at the lake with a bunch of friends.
