This a great new CD for those who like to hear Robert Downey Jr! It features 3 songs with RDJ. The album insert also has some great pictures for those who can't get enough of RDJ. For those who want to hear Ally and the rest of the cast singing, this may not be the album for you. Calista Flockhart does not sing on this album. I love the songs on this album. Vonda does a great job again. The bottom line is if you are looking for an album full of songs done by the cast members, you won't find it here. I have no idea what the author of the Editorial Review was thinking, but Robert Downey Jr.'s voice is amazing! I only wish they had included all the songs he had sung on the show (such as his fabulous rendition of Bruce Springsteen's "Sherry Darling") because Downey makes the album! At least they put his duet with Sting on. If you are at all a fan of this show you should definitely buy the CD because you will understand and appreciate the meaning behind each of the songs. I can't more ADAMANTLY disagree with the Amazon.com editor on this one. There is no question that this Ally McBeal music collection is superior to previous efforts from Vonda Shepard, altho I've liked them all. Vonda's voice tends to grate on me after a while, so I was glad to see tracks on this CD from Al Green, Barry White, Tina Turner, and, of course, Robert Downey, Jr. "Chances Are" is rivaled only by Downey, Jr.'s version of "River" on the Ally McBeal Christmas CD.Free Music Review: A Great CD

I play this CD over and over again. It is absolutely wonderful. My favorite is "Chances Are" by Bob Seger - a duet with Vonda Shepard and Robert Downey, Jr. And, of course, Sting and Robert Downey, Jr. doing "I'll Be Watching You" is also great. The whole CD is great - original songs by Vonda Shepard and Robert Downey, Jr. are well done. I bought the CD for myself - and have since purchased two additional copies of family and friends. This album is terrific because it offers a wide variety of songs - ballads, heavy beat, "crank-the-volume" songs, and even older songs with a new version, like "Alone Again". I've found myself repeating several songs. It's a great album to do yard work to or housework. "Love is Alive" and the title cut are two of many of the oustanding songs on this CD. It's a great buy for yourself or a gift for any woman with good taste. Susan Carpenter
