I came to this CD as a complete novice as far as Ally McBeal was concerned. I have started collecting sound tracks and was interested to see how Robert Downey, Jr's expansion into music played. I was not disappointed. Both Vonda Shepard and Downey are outstanding. I particularly like enjoyed Al Green's "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart."If this CD does not have you dancing with the broom, you simply don't have "soul."

I bought this CD because I love Ally McBeal. I was quite pleasantly surprised to learn that Robert Downey Jr. can sing very well. The songs he contributed were emotional and moving. In fact, I listen to his songs more than those sung by Vonda Shepard whose voice, although beautiful, can sometimes sound flat and lack dimension. The CD has been in my player since I bought it and I listen to it everyday. You won't be disappointed!Free Music Review: This is a great CD

What a great CD, it has all the best tracks that Vonda Shepard has preformed such as: For once in my life and Alone again (Naturally). It also features guest apperances by: Sting, Al Green, Tina Turner, Barry White, Anastacia, Tom Jones, Chanyanne, and my personal favourite, Robert Downey Jr. I think that Robert and Vonda have such amazing talant in their voices and they accompany each other so well when they sing Chances Are.Free Music Review: The Best Yet!

I have all and have loved all the "Ally" Soundtracks with Vonda Shephard but I have to say that this one is the best mostly due to the additions by Robert Downey Jr. It makes me feel a little melancholy especially due to the problems that have arisen in Robert's life and the rewrite of the finale of "Ally", but anyone who is an "Ally", Robert, or Vonda fan should buy it and relish it.Free Music Review: ****MASTERPIECE****

I'm so glad I bought this CD. Robert Downey Jr., amazing. I love the sound of his voice in every song he does on this CD. His duet with Sting is spectacular. Vonda Shepard has a wonderful voice as well. If you are a true Ally McBeal fan, you know exactly what's going on as you listen to each song. I for one love this CD and if you enjoy the show as much as I do, I would definitely recommend this CD for you.
