Tremonti's guitar playing has gotten so much better with each Alter Bridge Album. He really has raised the bar. One of the most improved and innovative guitar players nowadays. Every song is good, and that's what really matters. Miles Kennedy has a great soaring voice and also lends his talents to the new Sevendust CD Chapter 7 in one of there songs. Pretty cool. I got this cd after i bought that new Fozzy CD All that Remains Reloaded, since Tremonti plays on that too.....the Fozzy CD showed a variety of playing styles, so I checked this out....Glad I did! The songs are varied and all extremely well done....one reviewer said best rock record of the last 10 years, and he is probably right....as long as you add teh Fozzy CD to that list as well which is also brilliant.Free Music Review: Tremonti and Kennedy show their stuff!

I am a self-admitted Creed fan, so the first Alterbridge album appealed to me bigtime. I loved the anthems, like "Down to My Last" and I loved Myles Kennedy's voice! When I saw them live the first time, they only had the one CD out, had said they would not play any Creed, so I was pretty much guaranteed to hear every song from One Day Remains, which I did. They showed so much more talent together than was demonstrated on their debut CD, as much as I loved it.
What I hear on this one is the breaking away from Creed, Myles taking a bigger part in the songwriting, as well as guitar playing, as I understand it, and Tremonti is at the top of his game!
So here you have a completely new sound, still rockin, still awesome, vocals with range and emotion that makes your hair stand on end! I think we have finally been shown what these four guys were meant to do together.
BTW, I did see them play live on this tour, if you can ever catch them- DO IT!!
Free Music Review: Greatest rock album of Last 10 years

I have owned Blackbird for quite some time, and can honestly say, in my opinion, it is the greatest Rock album of the last 10 years, and that is a bold statement considering some of the quality albums that are out there from some outstanding bands.
On Blackbird, Come to Life, Rise Today, Blackbird (one of top five rock songs ever written), One by One, Watch Over You, are Hard rock anthems for the ages. Just brilliant. The rest of the songs are excellent as well, like Buried Alive and Brand New Start, and the Ties that Bind.
Miles Kennedy's vocals are outstanding, soulful, and lift you out of your seat. Tremonti's work, is well, Tremonti- Is there a better guitarist playing today? The solo in Blackbird is one of the greatest solos in the history of rock and roll, and needs it's own review from an experienced guitar player, I think.
Their management and label need to sink some serious money into marketing. Not enough people know about these guys, I don't care what anyone says. This album shoud be a multi million seller.

I have a love/hate relationship with iTunes. Cause I bought this album and it has like 12 tracks... and I'm like, awesome. Then I take a look at iTunes, and they have a bonus track! What do they mean a 13th track! And you can't buy that 13th track separately, you have to buy the whole album off iTunes in order to get that track. So I suggest that you buy it on iTunes instead.
