She a bit of a nutter is our Amélie-les-Crayons, but she can sing very well and does so on this fascinating album. Amélie's band features an accordian, a grand piano, a tuba and a double bass viol. She sings with a light voice, a soprano, I imagine. She does a lot with her voice (yes, she does animal noises in one song) and she is very capable of expressing herself and the sentiments of her songs.

I hope that this and other Amélie-Les-Crayons discs and DVDs are made more widely available outside of France. I was lucky to find this disc in Australia.

In a couple of words: highly recommended by me.
