Free Music Notes for Amadeus: Original Soundtrack RecordingFree Music Review: Sheer Brilliance! Hit: 5 Stars
What better way to be introduced to the wonders of Classical Music than to listen to this superb selection of mostly Mozart works? The film Amadeus does very well in capturing emotions expressed by Mozart's diverse compositions. This soundtrack in turn succeeds in making the listener conjure up scenes from Amadeus as well as images of 18th century Vienna. From melancholic to playful and romantic to firey, it will be difficult to match the prefection with which Sir Neville Mariner and The Academy of St Martin-In-The-Fields have assembled this compilation.
Free Music Review: Beautiful Hit: 5 Stars
This is the best Mozart CD anyone can purchase. The selections show a progression through his career and the various styles he used. The best selection by far, is the Requiem Mass, in my opinion, the Lachrymosa section. It will bring tears to your eyes with its sweet melodies and violin arpeggios. The only glaring omission from the film is the aria from The Escape From the Seraglio, "Marten Aller Arten". It is a wonderful example of coloratura. All in all, you must have this if you are a Mozart aficianado
Free Music Review: Great "starter" classical CD Hit: 5 Stars
The original sountrack recording (CD) of "Amadeus" has been such a favorite at our house that I buy it for friends and relatives, and now that my daughters have their own homes, each of them has it and plays it over and over-- it's Mozart at his finest (not too "overly" anything, like some classical CDs!) .. a little bit of the best of Mozart! My 4-year-old grandson listens to it regularly and hums along - what a wonderful introduction to classical music!
Free Music Review: GREAT music, and GREAT recording Hit: 5 Stars
This soundtrack from Amadeus is a joy to listen to. It touches the gorgeous and most notable music of Mozart. Of course
The Academy of St. Martin's in the Field can be counted on to be an impeccable recording with the finest interpretation.
I love listening over and over as the way this CD is put together keeps your interest with a lot of variety. On the top of my list of all-time favorites.
Free Music Review: W.A Mozart: The Immortal Hit: 5 Stars
I am a lover of classical musik, and Finally buying this awesome soundtrack (from my absolute favourite movie) was a real treat. It follows all the different facets of Mozart's musical career, from his jubilant Concerto for Two Pianos to the chilling Requiem (if you haven't heard it in it's entirety, I strongly suggest you do.) Such a smorgashboard from one "little man"...incredible.
