Not being very interested in classical music, this really opened my eyes to the sheer beauty of classical music. It really is awe-inspiring, and the composer of such brilliant music is no less than a genius. This recording is masterfully done, taking on a very strong stand, especially in the Requiem Mass. Great cd, especially if youre new to classical music. The commendatore scene has no equal. Say what you want about Guilini's ancient set, if Marriner recorded a complete recording of Don Giovanni, it would rank as the greatest. The rest of the music is exceptional as well. This selection leaves a powerful impact on the listener. Tracks #4 and 8 are very moving and chargeful peices. Mozart's talent for music shows very clearly through this cd. I personally think that Amadeus is the best classical music composer movie ever... Sure, it has added details to make it more appealing, but by itself Mozart's life was so inspiring and sad at the same time... Everybody who loves music should watch this film! FIVE STARS (out of five lol)
