this cd boxed set is the best Mozart collection you can buy for the money. it includes selections from some of his best, and most famous, works. my personal favorite is Abduction From The Seraglio, very cool opera. check out the samples and see what I mean. Mozart is the best composer who ever lived. some people may disagree, but that is my opinion. if you are just starting out in classical music, I think Mozart is the best introduction. not as dark as Bach or Beethoven can sometimes be. Mozart's music is happy most of the time, it really lifts your spirits.I love listening to him when I feel weird or stressed. I recommend this collection to anyone.Free Music Review: Excellent

This is an excellent collection of Mozart music, and does the movie Amadeus justice for it's musical brilliance. The package surprised me, and it comes in a box about 4 times as big as the jewel case, but this is because it comes with a booklet included. This booklet has an outline, point by point, of the story from the movie, and it also has information about each musical piece that is in the movie as well as some history about Mozart himself. The music is excellent to say the least. Simply incredible. There isn't a single track I don't enjoy. Anyone who enjoyed the movie Amadeus and in Mozart music, this soundtrack is well worth your money.Free Music Review: Amadeus Rocks!!!

Every piece played in this soundtrack, I must say, is superb. I love to play this soundtrack over and over again. My favorite is Don Giovanni. Beautiful voice and the music somewhat sends chills up my spine. I love it! I would recommend anyone who has not seen or heard of AMADEUS to watch the movie and listen to the music. Since then, I have been listening to mostly classical music by other composers. I found myself having temporarily stepped away from rock, R&B, easy listening, etc. This is what I call "real music" b/c you can hear every piece of instrument played whereas today's music...such as rap, Lady Gaga-type stuff...I can hear nothing.Free Music Review: Where is the review patrol?

Regarding the review from Austria, I really think it's time Amazon started screening these postings more carefully. To read something that has nothing to do with this particular soundtrack is very annoying. If you want to worship your favorite musician, go do so under his own album. The music of this movie pratically changed my life. This is the ultimate classical music movie soundtrack. I only wonder why some music, such as the breathtaking Queen of the Night aria, was omitted. Other than that, it is truly music from heaven.

There is no doubt that Mozart was one of if not the greatest musicians in history. This soundtrack touches on some of his greatest works. The only reason I would not buy it is because I already have all of these hits on other CDs. Never has there been an interest in a man who played music so long ago as with this one.Amadeus was a terrific movie. The attraction to Mozart, his music and his life, may be attributed to the fact that he was what everyone would like to be: simply the greatest. His music is simply divine.
