Sound quality: Excellent for an AAD mastered recording. Not up there with audiophile quality recordings but very good, nonetheless.
Performance: Sir Neville Mariner - it does not get better than this when it comes to Mozart.
Packaging: Very beautiful. Class act.
Music: From concertos to operas, excellent wide selection to introduce anyone to Mozart's music.
Conclusion: If you enjoyed the movie, you will enjoy listening to this excellent boxed set.

How is it possible that one man composed all of this and yet every emotion called for in "Amadeus" is delivered in the soundtrack? I am on the verge of tears every time I listen to this work. Probably the greatest composer of all time, performed by one the greatest orchestras in the world today, directed by none other than Sir Neville Mariner. The music is amazing. Enough said. You can listen to this soundtrack for hours on end and never get bored. If you're a fan of the movie or just Mozart I recommend getting this soundtrack. It has a great variety spanning most of Mozart's career and it's hard to beat anything played by the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, especially when it's conducted by Sir Neville Marriner. This movie and the accompanying soundtrack is responsible for my being a major classical music fan. I saw this movie and fell in love with the music when I was only 8 years old. I have the soundtrack on both cassette and CD and I listen to it almost daily. Mozart's music helps me in so many ways. Like one of the previous reviewers said, it is very healing to the body, mind and spirit. I would recommend this very highly to everyone.Free Music Review: "Genius"

This is a GREAT CD! It has wonderful music from the movie "Amadaeus" which is the BEST movie ever! This music is so fine that it lifts your heart into happiness when you listen to it. You can just tell immediately that this is "the voice of God". And for one man to make such wonderful music in a flash, its just pure genius.
Thanks to the wonderful music that a talented man has brought to us.
