In my opinion, this box set is simply the best Mozart's "greatest hits" one can hear. The selection covers almost all Mozart's masterpieces. The execution is delicated, but strong, and it's Mozart played like Mozart , not like Wagner. If you don't know much about Mozart, start with this box set. It does'nt matter for me Mozart is one of the giants in classical music, I don't know much about classical music to speak of his greatness. But one thing I can say for sure is that Mozart made music that touches and lifts up your heart. As Saleri puts it "hear God speak through" Mozart music.Amadeus is a tribute to the musical genius of Mozart.

Unlike an in depth study of his genius, this is a very well put together sampler of Mozart. Performance and sound quality are both excellent. The non Mozart selections included in the set are also very enjoyable. My only wish is that the 3 disc set were a 10 disc set. EnjoyFree Music Review: Amazing

Just got this today, and it is great. The last time I had this was on cassette tape and the sound is amazing. Very much recommend it for anyone who loves classical music. The first track never gets old for me either.
