Free Music Notes for Amelie: Original Soundtrack RecordingFree Music Review: I just love this Hit: 5 StarsI origninally heard a snippet of this on a Windom Hill compilation of film theme songs. It wasn't even performed by Yann Tiersen, who is tremendously talented. I couldn't get the melody out of my head. I ordered the original soundtrack and I couldn't be happier. One night, coming home from work, I got off the train, and heard a french tune wafting across the platform. A sweet and gentle homeless guy, Jerry, with a bashed in accordian, was playing for change. For a while I would see Jerry at the end of my work day. I'd say play me my french song please. I'd sit on the bench with him and he'd oblige with two or three. Then he didn't come back anymore. I missed sitting on the bench with Jerry and being serenaded! In liu of Jerry, Amelie does the trick. I listen to it before I set off on my day and it helps me put the right foot forward! It's so joyous and uplifting. I love the toy piano as much as the accordian. It's great music to day dream by. It swirls around in my mind, and makes me feel like a kid again. I haven't seen the film, silly, but the soundtrack is marvelous!
Free Music Review: A must-have --- one of the best EVER! Hit: 5 StarsThis soundtrack will take you right back to the movie Amelie but, even if you've not seen the movie, it is a great CD to have on hand. The songs are all so very French but subtle yet intense. This is great dinner party music or rainy day, sitting at home, reading a book music. This CD is a must-have and one that you will never get tired of. It definitely does the movie justice.
Free Music Review: I want to be a great pianist because of this Hit: 5 StarsI don't know how to describe the music of this soundtrack... it's just too... I can't even find the right adjective. But the point here is, I love the soundtrack so much. I love how the sounds fit into the film just right, and how it touches me each time I hear the tracks playing. What I love the most is La Valse D'Amelie (piano version) because of its melancholic sound that surely has a great impact on listeners. Actually, this track is one of the major reasons why I wanted to learn how to play the piano. The other tracks are also great, because they make you feel like you have nothing to worry about, thus bringing comfort to your busy mind.
And also, if music can get into your soul and tell you all the beautiful things in the world, then this soundtrack has proven such things to be true. Yann Tiersen is a truly talented man who can prove that music can project the right mood unto anyone who cares to listen.
So far, this is the best soundtrack my ears have ever heard. Listen to this soundtrack and feel what it's like to be in Paris, anywhere, anytime!
Free Music Review: Great music. Hit: 5 StarsI adored this soundtrack, as an American living in Paris. I haven't actually seen the movie (though I've heard it's charming), but this music is good on its own. It doesn't need a great movie behind it to sell copies. I especially loved ? Comptine d'Un Autre ?t? ?, a gorgeous but melancholy piano piece.
Free Music Review: I LOVE this cd!! Hit: 5 StarsAmelie is one of my very favorite movies, and the soundtrack is just as delightful as the movie. Being a bit of a Francophile anyway, the cd makes me feel like I'm right there in the middle of Paris. It also makes me want to learn to play the accordian!
