AMERICA has some of the most soothing & also some of the most energy creating music on earth. Sort of in a quiet way their music can fill you up if you allow yourelf to get lost in a full LP. Their lyrics are both heartfelt as well as soulful.They have done almost 20 LP's/CD's of original material, you really have to listen to some of their newer material. They are still touring & going stronger than ever. They did release a Christmas CD, HOLIDAY HARMONY last year. It is amazing ! This greatest hits is a great representation of some of their finest work.

An excellent compilation plus two brand new songs! It contains all their charted singles and some of their album classics that received a lot of airplay and were hits in their own rights! If you are a new or casual America fan, this is the CD to start with. It is the most complete single CD compilation available. And if you are a hardcore fan, you will have to buy this for the two new songs (and you know Rhino planned it that way). The sound quality and packaging are first class, but Rhino always seems to do everything first class. Highly recommended!!!Free Music Review: Good Old America

If you are an America fan, but do not want to buy all their albums or their box set then this album is your best one-CD choice for America. The sound is fantastic and the liner notes are quite thorough. If you need more than this than I recommend this album and their debut album, America. Other albums you may enjoy if you are a fan of catchy, acoustic driven rock:

It had been such a long time since I last heard anything by "America" that I was eager to listen to this CD. I was very pleased & have not been disapointed. Who can forget "A Horse with No Name" & "Ventura Highway". Brings back the memories when all I had to listed to was the radio with their limited selection, I eagerly waited for just a little bit of "America". The Complete Greatest Hits is a fine addition to anyones collection of great classic rock tunes. Check it out.Free Music Review: Rhino Records you just keep getting better!

Never mind if you have their previous greatest hits or albums you must buy this cd as the production and remastering is superb. All the hits are here, A Horse with No Name, Ventura Highway, heck they're all great plus a couple of new tunes. Dammit we used to listen to terrific tunes in the 70's. This cd is a must buy if you love or are curious in folk/folk rock music that is slightly coloured with just a touch of country influence. Highly recommended.
