Free Music Notes for American Idol Season 2: All Time Classic American Love Songs

Free Music Review: It's The Best! Kimberley Locke is my favorite!
Hit: 5 Stars

You rarely see a reality television show that's so...real. American Idol 2 is by far the most competitive competition and TRUE search for the real superstar and American Idol. I know that the last five finalists are the best...except Joshua and they prove it on this CD. They show they have great recording voices and are comparable to the old time singers like Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and even Whitney Houston. I was waiting and anticipating for AI2 to release their first CD and I am not dissapointed at all. Their best tracks are Kimberley Locke - Over The Rainbow, AI2 Finalists - What The World Needs Now, Ruben - Superstar, Trenyce - Let's Stay Together, and Clay Aiken's song. These should have been the top four in the competition and American got it partly right. Nevertheless All of the artists on this superb CD will be great musicians and this CD shows itself to be true to what I said no matter who wins. I wish the best of God's blessings to all of these competitors and I give this CD five stars.

Free Music Review: Pleasantly Surprised
Hit: 5 Stars

My expectations weren't high so I was very pleased. I have to agree with all the others that gave Julia DeMato praise for "At Last"(where did she get that voice?) and Trenyce for "Let's Stay Together". Trenyce has an excellent voice and it is perfect for a CD of her own. "On the Wings of Love" did not reveal Clay's vocal range. It was either NOT Clay's best or the song wasn't challenging enough. It left me bored.
"What the world needs now is Love" gave me goosebumps, thanks to the idol's beautiful voices and Burt Bacharach's arrangement.
They all did a great job, actually.
Kimberley Locke is capable of much better. She has an awsome vocal range.
Josh sounds like a true professional on "Three Times a Lady". Kim Caldwell sounds excellent on "Killing Me Softly".
Ruben chose a safe song that everyone loves; Superstar. It sounds ordinary on the CD.
Overall, I think this CD holds several pleasant surprises considering the outcome of the competition! : )

Free Music Review: An Excellent CD
Hit: 5 Stars

I would have to say that this CD is a must have for all American Idol fans. The version of What The World Needs Now Is Love is excellent. The group did a fantastic job on it. I really really like the groups rendition of God Bless The U.S.A. The first time I heard this song I was in tears. They are fantastic. Superstar performed by Ruben is really really good. On The Wings Of Love by Clay is one of the absolute best songs on this album. I really really like Clay. Actually my top 3 singers are Clay Aiken, Kimberley Locke, and Ruben Studdard. The other ones are good. The only one that I really don't like is Open Arms by Corey Clark. I didn't like Corey from the beginning. Overall this is a really good CD. I am looking forward to the release of the debut CD's from Clay and Ruben. I also look for Kimberley Locke to make it far in the music business. Overall this is a must have for all American Idol Season 2 fans.

Free Music Review: Worth buying...really!
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is a 'must-have' for fans of AI, but, after forcing unsuspecting friends and family members to listen to it, I've concluded that even non-fans can appreciate it. Clay (not surprisingly)stands out with his rendition of "On the Wings of Love", while Kim Caldwell (somewhat more surprisingly) does justice to the great "Killing Me Softly." Rickey Smith, booted off before his time, gets a chance to charm the fans who miss him with "One, Two, Three", and Julia redeems herself for her awful live performances with a jazzy, well done version of Etta James' "At Last."
As cheesy as the AI franchise can be, most of these kids have genuine talent, and it's a pleasure to listen to them belt out such timeless songs. You won't be sorry you bought this CD, although you may roll up the car window while you're listenting to it so that other drivers can't hear you singing along :)

Free Music Review: TRENYCE IS THE BOMB!
Hit: 5 Stars

Personally I was very happy after purchasing this CD. Trenyce is the Bomb and showstopper! Her voice is absolutely beautiful. Clay is right behind her with a great performance of "On the Wings of Love" Only thing that kind of bothered me was the pronunciation of the word "on". Still was an excellent performance and number 2 on my list. Actually I really enjoyed every song on this CD except for Studdard's "Superstar" which was Sounded much better on tv and the extra music they add to it is annoying. The other song that was dreadful was Kim Locke's version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". I don't know what happened, but it's like she oversang the song. Really disappointing seeing she had performed it beautifully before. This CD well worth the money just because Tre and Clay bring it!
