Free Music Review: I love what American Idol has done for singing!
Hit: 5 Stars

I love what American Idol has done for singing!, July 29, 2005
Reviewer: Ariella Vaccarino- creator of "Voice Lessons To Go" (Los Angeles, California) - See all my reviews
As a professional singer and Voice Teacher, I am so thrilled to see how American Idol has given the art of singing such a jump start in these last few years. These American Idol CDs and programs are filled with so much varying talents. From Hard rock to Country, America is becoming interested in identifying true talent. As an Opera Singer myself I can still enjoy the gifts of other genres and am sad to hear when others look down upon the show. Also, as a voice teacher of many styles I can't stress enough the need to my own students for them to develop themselves as a "Complete Unique Package". Finding their own true niche and style including: voice type, genre, best repertoire, to the the right audition outfit. American Idol teaches the same theories. Be true to yourself and your voice to get your best shot at this business of singing. I am an advocat for AI and all shows that encourage the high developement of arts in America. We come from a society that watched sports religiously on telievision (which is great) but there are so many talents to support including singing out there amongst us. American Idol gives artists and viewers a fantastic opportunity.

Free Music Review: Amazing Versatility
Hit: 5 Stars

This cd has an amazing amount of versatility. Linsdey Cardinale singing Knock On Wood has a disco sound to it, while Carrie Underwood singing Independence Day is a great country performance. Bo Bice singing I Don't Want To Be is an upbeat rock song, while Jessica Sierra singing Total Eclipse Of The Heart is a rock ballad. Nikko Smith does an upbeat R&B song, and Anwar Robinson does an R&B ballad. Vonzell Solomon does an outstanding version of the oldies soul hit Best Of My Love. Constantine Maroulis does a broasway song, and Nadia Turner sings You Don't Have To Say You Love Me which is an olies rock song. Scott Savol and Mikalah Gordon both do pop ballads while Anthony Federov does an upbeat pop song. The group song is an oldies pop song. Basically, this cd is very versatile, and you will like it no matter what your favorite type of music is. Everybody does a great job with their song, no matter how good or bad they were on the show.

Free Music Review: I LOVE VONZELL!SHE'S GORGEOUS AND A DIVA!
Hit: 5 Stars

I was so sad when Baby V lost. She should have won because she is the best American Idol by far!Carrie was good too but Vonzell was the best!I really want her to make a record deal and have extreme success like Beyonce because she deserves it!She is so unique and Bo should have gotten third place cuz she deserved to win!Carrie should have gotten 2nd place!
Here's My opinion of the idols From Season 4:1.Carrie should have gotten 2nd place.Bo should have been third place.Vonzell should have won!Anthony should have gotten 7th place!Scott should have gotten 12th place!Constantine should have gotten 4th place!Anwar should have gotten 10th place!Nadia should have gotten fifth place!Nikko should have gotten 6th place!Jessica should have gotten 8th place!Mikalah should have gotten 9th place!Lindsay should have gotten 11th place!

Free Music Review: Great Talent, Bad Packaging...Just Like This Year's Show
Hit: 5 Stars

American Idol season 4 has been fun hasn't it? We've had controversial contestants who drop out, last longer than they should have, incorrect phone numbers displayed delaying a results show, and enough Paula Abdul drama to start a soap opera. To top it off, they release THE SHOWSTOPPERS, with an incorrect track listing on the CD's jewel case. Way to go! Fortunately, the talent of the contestants is enough to forgive the American Idol conglomerate of their mistakes. All 13 tracks are good, with Carrie, Bo, Vonzell, Nadia, and Anthony leading the pack. One of the better tracks is the ensemble's "When You Tell Me That You Love Me", which heavily features Vonzell, and it should, it captures the purity and joy in her voice. Overall, the best collection of contestants yet. Good job America.

Free Music Review: One of the Best (Worst) American Idol Compilations
Hit: 5 Stars

I never thought I would have ever purchased an "American Idol" compilation CD, but this CD - like this season - has totally caught me off guard. "American Idol" hasn't seen talent like this since Kelly Clarkson - the original and, as far as I'm concerned, ONLY "American Idol" thus far. Without expressing any bias, I'll simply mention that everyone sounds incredible on their tracks.
I had one problem, however... Whoever was in charge of laying out the track list on the CD cover needs to loose his/her job. I can't tell you how frustrating it is not to know the order of the songs on the CD (because there is one I DEFINITELY DON'T want to hear in particular). I would hope that RCA Records finds this embarrassing, because there is just no excuse for such a lame mistake.
