Free Music Review: The Best Group Of AI Contestants yet

So far I have watched and purchased all three Ai seasons and compilation cd's. Although I do think that season 2 had the best song chices this season has the most talented singers. This was the first year it was Hard for me to pick a favorite. Season one it was Nikki Mckibbin, Season 2 it was a tie between Vanessa Olivarez and Julia Delmatto, This year I had Four and these for vocally perform best on the Cd. Jennifer Hudson, I just knew she was gonna make the top 3 and was very pissed when she got cut before john stevens. Although her vocals shine on "Neither One Of Us Want's To Be The First To Say GoodBye" her song choice wasnt the best.
La Toya London, I loved this girl thought she was gonna win it even though she wasn't my faverite. Her vocals are amazing on this cd and her song "If You Don't Know Me By Now" is one of my favroite soul classics ever and is also one of my fave tracks on the album.
Jasmine Trias, what can you say but this girl is so cute. I think that she does have a great voice and I am a huge fan and she does desereve to be in the top 3 regardless what the judges think. Her voice is at its best on this song, although on the show u can sense sTrain in it. Jas sings "midnight Train To Georgia", I used to hate this song till I heard this girl sing it.
Amy Adams sings "You Make Me Feel Brand New" and she shines. Best vocals and song on the album. It surprises me when people say the didnt like this song cause she just takes it. I remeber seeing her on the first episode of AI this season and I said I wanted her to win. I was shocked and upset when she was cut 3rd out of 12. But I have no doubt she'll get signed until then I will blast this song in my car cause she is just amazing.
Leah, Matt, John, and John are defenitly low points to this album. I never knew why these even made the top 12 and the studio didnt help them out much. John Stevens is the worst and I can't believe he made it as far as he did.
Fantasia sings "Chain Of Fools" and I hate it. I love her voice but something about the way she sings this song just cuts me like nails on a chalk board. I look foward to her album. But she dosent shine on this album.
George, Im not a fan but vocally he did deserve a top 12 spot and he was the best of the men.
Camile I was so surprised how well she sang her song I acctually like her because of it. But the song it self is quite dull.
Overall I wasn't one bit disapointed with the purchase of this cd. I acctually liked it enough to copy it for my car(and I only do that for cd's that I listen to frequently. The talent this year was really good when u look at Jennifer, La Toya and Amy, Unfortuneatly Leah, John and John, and Matt overshodfowed the good and made it seem like it was sucky. This year was good as far as the females go, the most talented ladies ever on American idol (Kelly, Nikki, Vanessa, Julia, Kimberley L. were the only really good ones from years past). So when U compare you will see that these kids are talented and will go far, so help them get a good start and purchase this hot album.

Some songs in this album are very good but some are so bad it seems like the people aren't even singing. It's a good album but it just has a few mistakes. 1)Fantasia Barrino - Chain of Fools - 5.5/10 - Not exactly the BEST song of the album. It's kind of corny and the way Fantasia sings it is just .. we'll predictable and simple.
2)George Huff - Me % Mrs. Jones - 7.9/10 - George's vocals are awesome in this song. The melody in this song is great but I am wondering why George is singing a song about falling in love with a married girl.
3)Diana Degarmo - I heard It Through The Grapevine - 8.5 - Very good song. I like the way Diana sings it. I have to say that it some parts , she was rather shouting than singing. This song is the second best of the first three songs so far.
4)Latoya London - If You Don't Know Me By Now - 8.2 - The songs just get better and better on this album and LaToya's is very very good. She puts a little atitude into the song and some parts are just plain simple but there are some very good times in the song.
5)Jennifer Hudson - Neither One Of Us (Want To Be The First To Say Goodbye)- 5.4/10 - I am a big fan of Jennifer but I feel that she picked a very bad song. It is just simple and nothing wild really happens. This song doesn't stand out from the rest of the songs on the album. I had expected a lot more from her.
6)Amy Adams - You Make Me Feel Brand New - 5.5/10 - There are a lot of mellow songs on this album and one is Amy's song. You know, tracks 5,6,7 are some of the worst tracks on the album. Amy's is a little better than Jennifer's and Matt's but again, this song is a song that puts you to sleep.
7)Matthew Rogers - (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay - 6/10 - I like the beat of this song but what is so special about it. Matt's vocals are simple. This song is a little confusing to understand and there is no high notes. We'll I explained the bad side to the song, let me explain the good .... hmm .... I've got nothing good to say .. Sorry, Matt!
8) Jasmine Trias - Midnight Train To Georgia - 8.9/10 - Ahh.. the best song of the album so far! I love Jasmine's vocals and this song is just hip and fun and wonderful! It's a good song to dance to. It makes sense. Way to go, Jasmine!
9)Jon Peter Lewis- My Girl - 2.3/10 - Oh god, JPL! First of all, I can't understand his song choice. Second of all I don't understand why he even made it to the Top 8. His songs are bad on the television show, and his songs are bad here!
10)Camile Velasco - Until You Come Back To Me (That's What I'm Gonna Do) - 8/10 - Hip and fun. I can't understand why the chorus is so short and what is she reffering to when the says "That's What I'm Gonna Do" but other than that, it's cool. The beat is awesome but I still feel that Camile's nerves are taking over her.
11)Leah Labelle - Betcha By Golly, Wow - 8.5/10 - Why, Betcha by golly wow! Leah's song is actually good. The song is so romantic and wonderful. Her vocals are that great but they are good enough. I don't understand why America voted her off first because she is a good singer and this is a good song.
12)John Stevens - You are Everything - 1/10 - This song is worst than JPL's. America only took him up to 6th place because girls loved the way he looks. But here is my message to John, "Yo! Frank Sinatra clone, wake up from the old days and .. hmm .. oh yeah. SHUT UP!"
13)Ensemble - Ain't No Mountain High Enough - 9/10 - The song is fun and I love it but not everyone from the Top 12 song in this song. Fantasia was singing way too much and they gave Jasmine, Matt, and other people parts that way too small. It's is way too short and I wanted to hear more. So it is a good, but short song.
Overall Rating: 7.2 Very good CD but there wereabout 5 awesomely bad songs. You should defenetly consider buying this album because it is the bomb with a capital B-O-M-B!

Well this is the 3rd CD released from all the contestents on american idol.Season 1 was the greatest hits last year was the greatest love songs and this year its the greatest soul clasics.This CD would have been a 5 if more contestents chose better songs but a few really shine.1 bein the lowest..10 bein the highest
1-Fantasia Barrino "Chain of fools" - 10/10 im not the biggest fantasia fan but this song really brings out her voice and shows she can really sing.Still think the greatest love of all would have been better.single 6/15/04 with I believe/Dreams and Summertime.
2-George Huff "Me and miss jones" - 7/10 - Kind of a silly song it fits george huff perfectly but it could have been better.More range more strength is needed.
3-Diana Degarmo "I heard it through the grapvine" -10/10 WOW!!!Only 16 with a voice that could even blow Kelly Clarkson away.Sounds great on the record and sounds great live.She could record a live version CD and it would still sell great.2nd place this year but i think she should have won.Look out she is comin out with a single 6/22/04 with I believe/Dreams and Dont cry outloud.Even though "I believe" is fantasias song.But still she deserves it so you better buy her single.
4- Latoya London-"If you dont know me by now"- 9/10...Latoya was excelent.She didnt get the 10 cause it still needs more power and she could power out all these singers if she wanted to.
5-Jennifer Hudson-"Neither one of us"- 8/10 - Well Jennifer was excelent and got voted off way to early.Perfect song for her but she had better proformances Worth all 10's.
6-Amy Adams-"You make me feel brand New" 9/10 - Amy was elminated way way to early and this song proves it.Even though she didnt sing it good live.She strikes back with a excelent high class proformance.She should have had 3 or 4 more weeks.
7-Matt Rogers"Dock by the bay" - 6/10 - Matt should have never sang this song he should have stuck with the song "Hard to handel" which would have been worth a 8.He left at around the right time but i say he should have had 1 more week.
8-Jasmine Trias "Midnight train to georgia"-8/10 - Jasmine had pitchy proformances in the past but this 1 she really sings like a pro.Very soul song to go with a young 17 year old soul voice.But she was on the show way to long.
9-John Peter Lewis-"my girl"-6/10 - Nothin great not bad but not great.Should have went off the show alittle sooner.
10-Camile Velasco"Until you come back to me"-9/10 wow is this really camile??..She didnt sound great on the show but she turned out to be a real recordin star..Good job Camile you will have a future.
11-Leah LaBelle"Betcha by golly wow"- 5/10..Leah should have never made the top 12.Lisa should have took her spot but back to Leah.This girl sounds horrid live and still sounds bad.Nothin special at all by this proformance.
12-John Stevens"You are Everything"-6/10 - John Stevens was on and off okay and then goes bad then goes okay.Tis song was okay but the 30's swing voice with it didnt really fit with me.He will get a deal cause of all the little girls.
13-All 12-"Aint no mountain high enough"8/10- Would have been better if certaint people were not in it.
Diana should have won.Diana is pretty and has a special voice..But her and fantasia have singles comin out 6/15 and 6/22

Free Music Review: Some Good, Some Bad, Some DOWNRIGHT UGLY!

This is a decent CD, with some awful tracks and some amazing tracks. 1. Fantasia - Chain of Fools - Hmmm. Hard to comment. She has a unique voice, but a little bit of an odd one. Simon has a point, at times she sounds like Donald Duck, yet at times she's great. It was OK, but not good enough to be released AGAIN in her Summertime/Chain of Fools/I Believe. I'd say, 7/10
2. George Huff - Me and Mrs. Jones - George sound perfect here. His natural husky voice matches the song so well! 10/10
3. Diana DeGarmo - I Heard It Through The Grapevine - At first I thought that this was an odd track for her. But that was before hearing it. She does SO good here. She's unbelievable for someone at 16, and amazing for someone of any age. 10/10
4. LaToya London - If You Don't Know Me By Now - She IS good, but she is so forgettable. Not as good as some, only 8/10.
5. Jennifer Hudson - Neither One Of Us (Wants To Be The First To Say Goodbye) - I never cared for Jen on the show. I always thought that her facial expressions were odd and she had a weird voice. Well, on an album, she is AMAZING. This showcases her voice kind of like Circle Of Life did. She was great here, and I might jusat become a fan, as long as I don't need to see her in concert. ;-) 10/10
6. Amy Adams - You Make Me Feel Brand New - This states EXACTLY why Amy was ejected W-A-Y to early. She does great here. Her voice is smooth and this shows it off. The only performance better than this track was Sin Wagon. I CAN'T WAIT to hear more of Amy. 10/10
7. Matt Rogers - (Sittin On) The Dock Of The Bay - Another unfortunate early dismissal. He obviously had fun recording this song. He sounds great and is having fun, easily 10/10.
8. Jasmine Trias - Midnight Train To Georgia - For the life of me, I can't see how she got so far. I mean, she was good sometimes, this track showing that, but majority she was awful. Anyway, this is one of her better performances. Probably the best song she could have chosen. Still, only 8/10.
9. JPL - My Girl - He is awful. This track states that in caps and bold. He just does not have a good voice. I'm sorry, but he doesn't. He gets off tune quite a bit. He can be quite amazing, but not for this song, unfortuantly. 4/10
10. Camile Velasco - Until You Come Back to Me (That's What I'm Gonna Do) - Eugh. I didn't care for her. Ever. And this is no exception. As someone pointed out already, she sounds much like Roger from Sister Sister. I'm sorry, but I don't care for her. 4/10
11. Leah LaBelle - Betcha By Golly, Wow - This shows off her singing maturity that she never showed on the show. It's odd, here she has such a great track, but she did so bad during Soul Week. Honestly, though, this is a good track, especially from her. 9/10
12. John Stevens - You Are Everything - Wow. That's all I can say. I HATED him on the show, but here he sounds SO GOOD! JUst amazing. 9/10
13. Ensamble - Ain't No Mountain High Enough - Besides George and LaToya, no one hardly got any time on this track. They seem to dominate the verses, and while everyone sings the chorus, the only person you can hear is Fantasia. Dreadful, ghastly, and drop dead horrible all in one track. 1/10
