Free Music Notes for In Love & WarFree Music Review: Amerie DESERVES her PLATINUM STATUS! Hit: 5 Stars
What can I say!! Amerie has done it AGAIN with her fourth album. Unless you are a TRUE Amerie fan then you wouldn't begin to understand her music. Amerie has a unique and different style of her own in the R&B game that too many people don't have. Being a fan since day one, she has ALWAYS delivered! Forget what you have heard!
Here are just some of my 2 cents of her HOT and BANGIN platinum status "In Love & War" opinions:
1)Tell Me You Love Me = A hot, funky, horn-blowing and up-beat intro that reminds you of the days she was with Rich Harrison. This song is sure to have you rocking to the beat and getting your diva on! A reminsce of "Gotta Work" part 2 from her 3rd album.
2)Heard 'Em All = CERTIFIED BANGA'!!!! This song is so crazy and hot that your speakers will smile at the bass thumping thru them! I love how she has the Indian-inspired chants and her diva-ish with attitudish-type swagga going on! This is one song that is a true Amerie-who-is-not-afraid-to-be-different song! Just
3)Dangerous = Amerie brings back the funky beats of the 70's in this song. A nice get up and groove song.
4)Higher = Another 70's flashback sound with her rock-type persona. This song would surely remind you of some of her songs on her 3rd album.
5)Why R U = OMG! I love love LOVE this breakout single for her fourth album! It starts off with an ol'skool DJ scratch and makes you fall in love with her sweet melodic voice. Now this is a Amerie CLASSIC that takes you back to her 1st album "All I Have". Trust me on this.
6)Pretty Brown = HOT!! The intro is so sick with a taste of the old Mint Condition meets the new age break down "ooooh...ooooh...ohhhhh"! The collabo with Trey Songz was perfect! Amerie delivers again with her high-pitch signature during the chorus. Another reason this album should go PLATINUM! Sing it Amerie and Tre!
7)More Than Love = Another hot track that rocks! Has a rock meets R&B type-hype to it.
8)Swag Back = HOT!!! Love how she brags "..now I got my SWAG BACK"! Amerie steadily holds notes in this song making you feel her how she feels since she got her "swaggg back"! Another song sure to be on repeat. Hmmm. I can also hear a remix with T.I in there Amerie! An NO this is NOT Fiona Lewis....AMERIE it be!
9)You're A Star = A bangin' interlude that I am sooo mad wasn't a song. I love the whipping-effect and outer-space voyage effect(keyboard of course) experience in this song.
10)Red Eye = OMG! OMG! OMG! This song is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! So dreamy, eccentric, aphrodisiac-ish, s

10)Red Eye = OMG! OMG! OMG! This song is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! So dreamy, eccentric, aphrodisiac-ish, sensuelle, sexy, in an outer-space voyage type experience you don't want to end. A Zen-like song bad for your own good.
11)Different People = At first you will think this is Jay Z's "Song Cry"...NOPE! This song will have you thinking and have you in head-knod-mode with the hot beat and piano playing on key.
12)Dear John = Wasn't really feeling this track. I would've preferred her to make "You're A Star" instead of this song.
13)Heard'em All (remix) = See above! with Lil'Wayne in her corner.
So, forget what you heard and GO BUY THE ALBUM!! Amerie is a true R&B diva with her own unique style, her own unique voice and her own unique way of making music. A true fan would understand! PLATINUM STATUS!
