Free Music Review: Brilliant, Amazing...there aren't enough adjectives

Run, don't walk, to get this piece of musical brilliance. Especially if you love Back to Black like I do. And if you don't own either, you MUST get both. Frank is a bit more jazz-funk, as is exemplified by the Intro where Amy scats while accompanied by jazz guitar. Yes there are vocal riffs which might put you in mind of Fitzgerald or other jazz phenoms of a better musical time, but Amy definitely has her own unique amazing sound. She has brought a brilliant fusion of jazz, pop and funk to our time which has been bereft of this kind of sound for far too long. There's never over-production with Amy as there is with so many current popular female singers - even the ones that are truly gifted vocally. Love Amy for her honesty both vocally and lyrically in what she composes.
Not only does it shine musically, this cd is also touched with hints of humor and irony which show that while Amy is a serious singer and composer, she isn't afraid to laugh at herself or at life. Love it.
