Amore is unique in Andrea Bocelli's catalog for its laid-back ambience, a mood that he has not worked in before. The selections on this new offering are romantic, melodic, and sometimes very hot! He is clearly at home in French and Spanish as well as Italian, and his English is coming along also. It's refreshing to listen to performances in which Andrea is not pushing his voice but simply embracing the lovely music. Oh. My. God. I am about to pass out with ecstacy and joy listening to this amazing album. All of my senses are on fire. I thought I liked Bocelli before I heard this cd (I own a few of his others) but I had no idea!! He is spectacular. This isn't opera. This isn't torch singing. This is pure brilliance. This is like Dean Martin, Jacques Brel, Eric Clapton, and Harry Connick, Jr. all rolled into one. I've never heard more beautiful vocals in my life. Seriously. This must be what heaven is like. I bought this on a friend's recommendation and, as an old married guy unfamiliar with Bocelli, I have to say that I was very pleased with the romantic ambience this album helped me create recently when I surprised my wife by cooking dinner and dancing with her on the patio for her birthday. I'm probably not as good a technical judge of romantic music as many of the other reviewers here, but I know how much it helped restore the sparkle and laughter to my wife's eyes after a tough week at work.
Buy it, play it, dance, and smile. You won't be sorry.

i really don't know what i have to say, how to express my feelings while i'm listening to one of the most wonderful CD i've ever heard. this CD is astonishing , staggering . i was wondering if Andrea will sing an album better than when he did with his Romanza album.... Here we go .... AMORE a must to have ... a must to add in your musical library....a must if you are in love... a perfect gift for your girlfriend Bravo Andrea , Brava David Foster... This release is exquisite. I think it's a great opportunity for those who've never listened to his other cds because of the genre (opera) to get to know who this wonderfully talented man is and what he can do. He could sing the phone book and make it sound beautiful; multi-lingual, (being of latin descent it's great treat) multi-talented (he plays several instruments) and writes music as well! What a gifted man; so sit back, relax with a loved one (or enjoy on your own for the first time, as I did) and listen to this gifted man....Bravo Andrea!!!!!
