Free Music Review: Grand and Romantic

This latest album from Andrea Bocelli called Incanto is a heartwarming collection of Italian songs that range from the familiar Funiculi Funicula and Santa Lucia to lesser known songs such as Non Ti Scordar Di Me. I found it lived up to it's original concept well. There are just a few contemporary artists that are reviving the art of romantic European ballads for example the beautiful song 'Per Te' by Josh Groban from the album Closer 'Ave Maria' by Sarah Brightman from the album A Winter Symphony, 'La Promesa' by Il Divo from the album The Promise 'The Prayer' by David Foster from the album Hit Man: David Foster And Friends (CD/DVD) and 'Com'e Bello fa L'Amore Quann'e Sera' by Liata from the album Intermezzo.
It is refreshing to see Americans expand and embrace this beautiful genre of music because.....THERE IS LIFE OUTSIDE OF POP!!!! And it is for the more discerning listeners. One that is rich, vibrate and passionate. Andrea Bocelli leads the way and his latest does not fail. It's stunning!!

Incanto shows Bocelli at his maximum splendor in terms of voice and power. He delivers these songs with his heart; it is clear that this music has a special meaning for him. The music selection is mostly about classic Italian songs that have been performed by many of Andrea's favorites in the past. Unless you never heard Italian music before, you will recognize at the very least "Funiculi Funicula", "Voglio Vivere Cosi", and "O Surdato "Nnamurato". These are all very nice songs, and are however, the weakest point of this album, because of their predictability. Andrea makes use of his "opera" voice during most of the songs. While this adds to the overall greatness of the CD, it resents the wonderful emotional "rollercoasters" that he can create with his voice in other popular songs (like "Mi Manchi", "Domani", "L'Abitudine", and so many others). Overall, this is a great CD, extremely enjoyable, although it will probably not become everybody's favorite.Free Music Review: The world's best voice does it again!

BRAVO! Again the Tuscan master proves why it doesn't matter what language in which the music is "in canto" (in song), this album leaves you "incanto" (a "spell" or figuratively "delight" in Italian) with Andrea's sweet but powerful voice. I grew up listening to classic rock. Andrea has made me believe the world's greatest voices come from opera. With the passing of Pavarotti, Andrea is now the king of both the opera world and the crossover world now termed "popera". He simply has the greatest male voice in the world today. His best album is still Cieli Di Toscana. However, this is still a 5-star masterpiece - something we have come to expect from Andrea.Free Music Review: Amazingly Excellent!

Get this album. I don't care if you don't like Opera.
I disliked Opera until I heard this album. Just stumbled upon it looking for classical music, and fell in love. As to another review, I do not think the lyrics are important, as I don't know the language, and the vocals are absolutely beautiful still. Could be singing about walking through the park for all I know.
Get this album. You will be stunned!
Free Music Review: Guess it helps to be grey haired and Italian

Well, After having read all the reviews and listened to the tunes available I still got the CD and I am glad. I guess you have to be grey-haired (I'm 60 and I grew up listening to Como sing these songs) and Italian (I'm only 1/2 Italian, I make a mean Sunday Gravy with Meatballs). Music, like beauty, is in the eyes (or ears in this case) of the beholder!
