Free Music Notes for My ChristmasFree Music Review: A simply joyous event! Hit: 5 Stars
What an amazing album!
Not only has Andrea Bocelli studied the flat subtleties of the American language to soften the tones of words such as "winter" instead of "weenter," which is the Italian vocal strength, but the rich orchestrations of David Foster make this a most joyful experience indeed from beginning to end.
Every track is a pleasure. And a thorough surprise!
I guarantee, you will not be disappointed for nearly sixty minutes. Wrap presents, write holiday cards, tolerate rush-hour traffic, etc!
If you are alone and not in an apartment building (or you have a powerful set of headphones) crank up the last two pieces. They will simply explode in the much needed Christmas spirit, and infuse you with good will and joy! No questions asked! He is phenominal. The music resplendant, and the feeling magical.
I can not say enough about this album. It is targetted for my dearest friends.
Thank you, Mr. Bocelli, you have done it again...Buon Natale!
Free Music Review: EXCELLENT! Hit: 5 Stars
I have been in love with Andrea Bocelli's voice for many years and couldn't wait to get this CD. I was not dissapointed in the least, if anything I was was amazed at the quality of his beautiful voice in the CD. His singing The Lords Prayer brings me to tears everytime I play it. He has raise the bar on anyone else who trys to follow him in singing this song. I loved the playfulness of him singing Jingle Bells, I have never heard it sung like that and it gives me a really feel good feeling and makes me smile everytime I play that one.
This will be my # 1 all time favorite Christmas CD. Every song is of excellent quality, the different ones he has singing duets with him offers enough varity that you do not get bored listening to it.
This is the best idea he and David Foster ever had and I have to ask, WHY it took so long and when is the next one. Now I can't wait for the DVD!!! (Please tell me that is going to be released earlier than planned!)
Free Music Review: No doubt, the most awaited album for this year's holiday season. Hit: 5 Stars
This is the very first Christmas album by Andrea Bocelli, which no doubt, the most awaited album for this year's holiday season. The legendary David Foster collaborated and produced Andre's latest album. There are 15 songs, most of them where carefully chosen by Andre himself as the songs that reminded him most of his childhood, while some were suggested by Foster.
Andrea's tenor voice is wonderful, so powerful and moving; a perfect match specially with the classic Christmas songs. His interpretation of White Christmas makes me feel like it is already snowing outside. It gives me the chills. He teamed up with Natalie Cole to sing "The Christmas Song", her father's (Nat King Cole) most famous carol. An interesting version of "Jingle Bells" with the Muppets showed us Bocelli having some fun. And my personal favorites, would be "Adeste Fidelis" and "Cantique De Noel"; these songs really soar to the heavens, where Andrea's voice belongs.
Free Music Review: ANDREA'S VERSION OF "THE LORD'S PRAYER" IS SIMPLY THE VERY BEST! IT IS A SONG MADE IN HEAVEN! Hit: 5 Stars
When I purchased this cd, I knew it would be an excellent gift for Christmas. Why? Because THE David Foster produced this Andrea Bocelli cd. Mr. Foster is the man behind Josh Groban's landmark Noel Christmas cd which came out 3 yrs ago. If only for "The Lord's Prayer," this cd is worth owning and sharing with other people. Listening to this song gave me goosebumps and moved me to tears because the arrangement, orchestration and bravura singing of Mr. Bocelli was simply mesmerizing. When I was in our grade school choir, this song was our contest piece which is why I know the song and it's nuances by heart. It has become truly memorable. Hearing Mr. Bocelli's magnificent version and especially when he sings the ultimate highest note (.."for-E E E E E ver"...)towards the end is pure joy and one of the most wonderful sounds I have ever heard in my life. Bravo to Mr. Foster and Mr. Bocelli for giving us the gift of Christmas music!
Free Music Review: Saw this performed in person... LOVED IT! Hit: 5 Stars
I was lucky enough to get front row tickets to see him in Fresno, Ca for Christmas. From reading some of the other reviews, I've seen that people complained about the "campiness" of some of the songs. I completely understand why they might say that. For example, David Foster explained Andrea Bocelli WANTED to do "Santa Claus is coming to town." He thought "How is he gonna do that?" It was hilarious when he brought the kids on stage and he sang "Whose coming?" He had a big smile on his face and my husband and I busted out laughing. It was something we weren't expecting, to see his sense of humor. My family loved this cd and my kids loved it too. (age 10 and 7) It became a running joke to say "Whose coming?... "Whose coming?" Then we were like "SANTA!" I highly recommend it for people who want a mix of classics and some light-hearted songs with some serious. My favorite was White Christmas!
