Free Music Review: A Memorable Experience

I'm not a fan of Christmas music. In general, I even avoid listening to it. However, when I saw this CD by Bocelli was coming out, I could not help but getting it. What a treat! Yes, most of the songs are the same songs you have heard a thousand times. But I have to say that Bocelli and Foster bring an entirely different perspective to each of them, bring each song to a new dimension. Particularly nice are all of the duets on the CD, plus "White Christmas". There is one song, however, that will be remembered for a long time on this CD, "The Lord's Prayer", with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, which, regardless of your religious beliefs or lack of them, will bring tears to people who enjoy true music. I have only one complaint and that is that I did not buy the cd/dvd set of this album. Bocelli even makes songs I detest--Santa Claus is Coming to Town; Jingle Bells; and White Christmas; Adeste Fideles---sound good. The duet with Reba McEntire is the best version of Blue Christmas ever. It alone makes the album worth the buy. David Foster's arrangements are fresh without distorting the traditional melodies beyond recognition. And as usual, Andrea Bocelli's voice is to die for. I do not recommend that women listeners keep the album within eye shot if listening while driving. No one could concentrate on the road while seeing that gorgeous photo of Andrea that graces the album cover.

What a great Christmas album. Got it in time for Christmas and played it while the whole family sat around having dinner and just talking and opening gifts. I really liked playing this instead of everyone watching tv and not really talking and listening to good conversation. I was very pleased at how fast I received this album. There is a problem when I play this that may be a scratch on the DVD itself. At first I thought it was my dvd player or my speaker system, but it turns out to be the dvd itself. By time the holidays were over with I had forgot about it and now i'm kind of stuck with it. Either way, I was pleased with the good service.Free Music Review: My Christmas - Andrea Bocelli

I had heard this CD from another source a year earlier and determined at that time that I had to have it as I greatly admired Bocelli and enjoyed and appreciated his music.
It's hard to imagine the difficulties and hard work that he has had to put into his mind set and the struggles that he has had to go through in order to accomplish what he has and with such fantastic success. A marvelous voice, which proves what a wonderful and determined man he is with that silver but also robust voice. He is an absolute lovely man in every respect with a fantastic voice.

This is a terrific CD - well worth the wait! Bocelli's voice is unparalleled, rich and strong, and the perfect musical arrangements really make this THE CD to buy this holiday. It's a nice mix of classical favorites with a modern touch. There are a few fun tracks like, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and such. However, as someone who still remembers the *true* meaning of the holydays, it is so nice to have such a wonderful and incredibly talented artist share his voice with us as he sings of the birth of Christ.
FYI: Though different, Faith Hill's Christmas CD was my favorite last year. You might want to check that out, too.
