Free Music Notes for RomanzaFree Music Review: Musaq with Italian words Hit: 1 StarsI purchased this CD because of some of the reviews I had read about "people having heard this at a dinner party" or because "a friend gave it as a birthday present". Reviewers went on to say that it was a must have - but I must tell you the music is very simple (like the melody was done on a play-at-home keyboard). Reminded me of elevator music sung in Italian. Bocelli has such a beautiful voice and it is wasted because of the underlying music. Now, let me just say, I'm not reviewing this from an Opera perspective. The first selection "Con Te Partiro" with Sarah Brightman is beautiful, but from tehn on it is pretty bad. The only thing I can imagine was that folks were impressed enough with hearing a song in another language to purchase this CD. I don't know if Amazon will post this review (since they want to sell as many CDs as possible) but there are certainly other CDs like "Time to Say Goodbye" by Sarah Brightman which I would select over this one. She has a much greater range and the accompanying music is beautiful. Save your money on this one. Amazon place this on the first page so there is some balance to the reviews! Otherwise people only see the "good" review and don't get a well rounded review - BE FAIR! You'll have happier (and more repeat) customers.
Free Music Review: Incredibly romantic... Hit: 5 StarsThis has got to be the most romantic CD of all time!! Number 7 is the perfect slow dance song! Even though I don't speak or understand Italian, you don't need to know what's being said to "feel" the music. For those of you who DO need lyrics, they are included with the CD.
Free Music Review: Imagine a soft summer day... Hit: 4 Starsstick this in the CD and let the music soar across the sky. Be carried for an instant to be to the Tuscan hills overlooking the towered towns and vinyards. Breathe the lavender air. Now turn down the volume before the neighbors gripe. But hold the vision for the rest of the album, if you're lucky for the rest of the day. There are a couple of bad cuts, but nothing nasty. And the mental time-out brought by the rest is worth putting up with them.
Free Music Review: Perfection Hit: 5 StarsAndrea Bocelli's voice is quite an enigma. He keeps the equipoise between his operatic yet pop voice in such a subtle manner it is almost worthy of a whole new genre of its own. Con te Partiro is the perfect example of this. The emotion in the song is so solid you could cut it with a knife. People say he has a thin voice and could not sing over an orchestra. I disagree. HE could easily sing over the loudest orchestra without any amplification. But less is more, and that is what he does. He draws you in, with his ability to sing high notes pianissimo as well as forte, the former the greater feat. Great album. Absolute magic.
Free Music Review: the best of Bocelli Hit: 5 StarsThis is an absolutely beautiful CD. If you buy this one, don't buy his other album "Bocelli". The songs are mostly same.
