Free Music Review: Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals don't need 5 Stars

You can say I'm an Lloyd Webber genius. But if you think his shows are good this one is just as good. I have seen the only two productions of this show. I saw the try-out in Washington D.C. in 1996 at the National Theatre. It was great!!! That wasn't even the real production. Then, I saw the World Primiere of it in London at the Aldwych Theatre on July 1, 1998. The set design was incredible!!!!!! The set was unbeliavably creative. The score was typically great for Lloyd Webber.

Free Music Review: Finally Available in the US
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been waiting a long time for this CD to be available in the US. The music takes two or three listenings to understand the story line, but each listening seems like the first time because of all the subtle messages in the music. This is not a well known Webber musical in the states, but its story follows many of Webber's use of religious themes to produce another haunting musical. Hopefully, it will be produced here in the near future.

Free Music Review: musical perfection
Hit: 5 Stars

The fusion of the two greatest rock composers ever has lead to an album of immense proportion. The songs combine the power of Jim Steinman's (composer of Bat out of Hell I and II and others) lyrics with the tunes of ALW. The songs vary from powerful rock ballads (The vaults of heaven, tyre tracks and broken hearts) to gentle melodies (When children rule the world). This album is highly recommended, at least as good as ALW's Cats and Phantom.

Free Music Review: Wicked
Hit: 5 Stars

Buy the album even if you haven't seen the show because it rules.

There are some great songs like Tire Tracks and Broken Hearts, Off Ramp exit to paradise, A Kiss is a terrible thing to waste and Wrestle with the devil

I saw the Original cast in London and i don't know what everyone is complaining about I think there accents are great but probably as I come from England I am not the greatest judge of American Accents

Wot an album

Free Music Review: Wonderful CD of the powerful play by ALW!
Hit: 5 Stars

If you can't get to London to see this powerful new musical by Andrew Lloyd Weber, get the CD. And then await the American opening. The story and music are so haunting. The Man was an incredible actor, and his duets, trios and quartets are awesome. "If Only" is incredible. It's a powerful and very moving musical. One that could only be done by Andrew Lloyd Weber
