I haven't bought this CD yet. I only listen to these songs from the clips available on Amazon.com but first thing you need to know is that this is NOT AN ORIGINAL CAST ALBUM. And I don't think any of these songs can live up to their original performance. So if you have never listened to these songs before. Get the cast album or the compilation album that features the original cast. On the other hand, if you have all these songs but looking for some new takes on them. This might be interesting enough for you.
What I conclude from the clips (which I might be wrong) is that there are 3 singers in this album: Paul Nicholas (from Cats), Marti Webb (of Song and Dance fame) and Stephanie Lawrence (who played Pearl in the original cast of Starlight Express) performing songs from 7 shows by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The shows include Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, Tell Me On a Sunday/Song and Dance, The Phantom of the Opera, Aspects of Love, Starlight Express and Evita.
