I purchased this on the recommendation from a friend who had surgery. While preparing for my surgery I listened to the CD during the day, the day of surgery and afterwards when I returned to my room. I purchased this CD for myself for relaxation purposes. I am so delighted with it that I have purchased several for gifts.
I have never really heard the entire CD because I always fall asleep, but it is most enjoyable and helpful for relaxing and healing.

Wonderful cd....I find it helps take the stress away and allows my mind and body to relax. Dr Weil's voice is so calming and the music takes you on a healing journey. I like Andrew Weil's guided imagery cd with Martin Rossi, but this cd doesn't really affect me any differently (that I can tell) than any other nice classical music cd.Free Music Review: Peaceful

Beyond the relaxation provided in this CD, I appreciate the up close look into Dr. Weil's life on his ranch. You get a personal look at his inspiration to do such work - his lifestyle. There is a small picture book enclosed, a window into his character beyond the medical doctor.
The layout of this package slightly reminds me of "Be Here Now." I'm not sure why but it does. I practice and teach Reiki and find that clients tend to go deeply into relaxation or a deep sleep with the 60minutes of music. Great for bodywork, massage or simply to add a peaceful resonance within your home or work space.
