Free Music Notes for Twin Peaks: All New Season Two MusicFree Music Review: So, when's CD # 3? Hit: 5 Stars
It was a pleasant surprise to find out this CD was available. The Twin Peaks mythos continues to grow, albiet slowly, years after the final show aired.
Music was, of course, central to the dark theme and mood of the show, and to find additional songs in digital quality is a treat, an unexpected one at that.
...and I gotta throw my two cents in on the song left out of the CD that should be in: when James is riding his Harley around at the beginning of that 2nd season episode, that full-reverb, clean-electric guitar rock n' roll riff. That was one of my favorites!
Free Music Review: Awesome, even the hidden track! Hit: 5 Stars
This is an amazing soundtrack. I got it the other day when we had a massive thunderstorm roll through town and listening to it with the sound of the rain pattering outside just added to the experience. it's not all from season two either! There's a few from season one mixed in for good measure.
Shelly and Audry's Prayer are my favorites.
And how about that hidden track? Has anyone been able to decipher it yet? I can make out a few words but that's all. Kinda creepy!
Free Music Review: Welcoming an old friend.... Hit: 5 Stars
Angelo Badalamenti's moody sound canvas transports us once again to the town of Twin Peaks, and surrounds us with those beloved - if slightly crazy - characters. Immediately conjuring up images that were so specific to the series (I still harbor resentment toward ABC nearly 2 decades later for killing this show after their initial overkill promotion) it makes me "pine" for the days when we could tune in weekly for our fix of unique kitsch... The owls ARE what they seem on this great CD.
Free Music Review: Questions in a World of Blue Hit: 5 Stars
Amazing CD - a release I never even dreamed of imagining would ever happen - and here it is. It is worth the price just for the jaw-droppingly beautiful "Shelly," which will make any Twin Peaks nerd's knees buckle the moment they hear it. I cannot say how happy I am with this CD. I just love it.
Free Music Review: aaahhh.... Hit: 5 Stars
This was a real unexpected treat when it was announced on Angelo's myspace last year! The songs make it seem like I'm living in 1950's technicolor! If you liked any of the Twin Peaks sounds you'll dig this;or if you like Ange/Lynch scores give it a go! More on the lounge-jazz tip than dark ambient.
