Free Music Review: Album of the Year
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been sifting through crap music for the past several years with only a few bright spots. This collection of music is miles above anything that has been released in nearly a decade.

I never payed the least bit of attention to Blink-182, as I knew it wasn't for me. The first time I heard The Adventure, it was like an epiphany in musical form. The concept captured in the music is brilliant. I'm jealous that I didn't think of it first- and for me, that's a sign that something important is happening with this record.

To those who say that the songs are too similar- I think you've missed the point of the music. This is a concept album through and through. The songs tell a story in order. I imagine that this will be easier to see when the AVA movie is released. Of course the songs flow in a similar manner. They have to.

I can understand the anger of the Blink-182 fans who bought this record hoping for more of the same, but Blink-182 is over. People grow up- they either long for the past or they forge a new future. Your anger is nothing new. Thousands of great musicians have followed their calling at the cost of losing many of their fans. They don't owe you anything for being there in the beginning. You either pay them for their art, or you don't, but it's always their art- and it's never wrong.

Free Music Review: Angels&Airwaves - "We Don't Need To Whisper".
Hit: 5 Stars

It was a sad day for many kids when blink broke up. Especially for those that were born in the late 80's, and blink were the first real pop-punk band they fell in love with during those troubled times during the transition from backstreet/nsync to pop-punk. Nearlly 7 years after their break through record, 'Enema of The State', Tom Delonge released the highly anticipated 'Angels & Airwaves'.

This record definetly is something amazing. It definetly is a step up from blink's last record and really does live up to the hype. Remember the last track on the blink untitled record? How it just caputured your mind just due to its sheer length and the textures of the song when theres just so much going on? That is how every song on this record is written.

Just from the title of this record, and the artwork, it sets the mood straight away. The songs are a rollercoaster of emotions, many of which, are thought provoking. A lot of the lyrics display a lot of paranoia, and through that, a lot of questions are being asked about the world. This is what really got to me about the record. The sheer deepness of lyrics questions society, fear and even the topic of Church and God.

Angels&Airwaves will leave you singing, but it will also leave you thinking of the world around you. Tom's right, we don't need to whisper.

I actually never heard any of these songs on the radio (I don't drive long distances and when I do, I listen to cds), but when I went to visit my family, my brothers were absolutely obsessed with it and told me I needed to listen to it. I've been a big Blink fan for the longest time, so I was really excited to hear that Tom started a new band. Tonight was my first time listening to this cd and I have to say that I am speechless. I would love to know the history behind the songs and how Tom came around to writing them. I remember an earlier interview with Blink where they talked about how they were immature and loved being naked. It's so amazing to me the changes that came over all of them after they got married and started having kids. Their last 3 cd's (Enema of the state, take off your pants and jacket, and Blink-182) continued to mature in their style and lyrics, with more and more thought behind each of the songs. Now with AvA, Tom has obviously matured with the birth of his daughter, and I can hear the love he has for his new life behind his voice. Personally, I think the long intros and repitition set the tone for the whole cd. I find it incredibly touching and really admire the effort that went into this project.

Free Music Review: Amazing
Hit: 5 Stars

This is an amazing album and an excellent debut from Angels & Airwaves. My personal favorites are Distraction, Valkyrie Missle, The Adventure, and Start the Machine, but every song on the album is worthy to be a favorite song.

All the hype surrounding this album was justified. What makes this album great, or any other album great? The fact that it can be enjoyed and appreciated by such a wide audience. People of any age group or ethnic background can find something they like off this album. This album's main influences include Joshua Tree-era U2, The Cure, and in my opinion, Coldplay. AVA borrows elements from all three bands (among others, I assume) to try and create an experience for everyone, not just teenagers upset over a break up. That is exactly what he wanted to do. Apparently people do not realize that. Or maybe they are too selfish to understand that Tom was not thinking solely about just the teenagers of the world. This is what blink-182 would have done if they had stayed together. It is where they were headed. Just keep in mind what AVA was trying to do by creating this album instead of judging it based on your specific taste.

Free Music Review: Was it worth the wait? thats for you to decide
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a great album, its not perfect nor amazing, but it is great, it had alot of studio affects which sounds beautiful, but then again, this is Tom Delonge we're talking about do you think about 5 some years ago you would put Tom Delonge and music effects in the same sentence, I didn't think so. Tom said this is the best album in 20 years, wrong. its prolly the best album in the past year or so, I mean look at ava's competition (fall out boy) lmao, do you really think FOB is better then AvA? but yeah I can name atleast 200 better albums in the past 20 years, including all of blink 182s cd's. now this album is really good, my favs is The Adventure and It Hurts beautiful melodies on both songs, and beautiful melodies on the whole album. I think plus 44 will be slightly better if they dont throw in filler tracks, if u think about it AvA has no filler tracks each one could be a single. Tom think about it man get back with Mark and Travis and make music you guys loved to make and people loved to listen to. go pick up the album! and was it worth it? you decide.

Hoping and praying for a Blink-182 renuion! rock on! \m/
