Free Music Review: best album of the year
Hit: 5 Stars

comparisons have been drawn with u2, I grew up listening to my dad's u2 albums, its my favourite band, Ive been to several U2 shows, pop mart , elevation, went to vertigo last year, the reason I like U2 is not only the music, but what it makes me feel, where it takes me,an escape, and I got the same uplifting feeling when i first listened to this album, after being depresed for nearly five months over my exgirlfriend I heard the adventure and it was a feeling that told me that everything was gonna be alright, and it has, ever since i got the album, ive been in such a positive mood and things are turning alright just by picturing myself somewhere better as tom suggests constantly, it has somehow becomed my cure,I cleaned my Ipod from the 20+ gygas of sad depresing indie/britpop and now walk arround only with we dont need to whisper on it,when Tom delonge stated that this album was gonna change the world he was right, perhaps not musicaly, but emotionaly,it changed my f@#ing life, i canot imagine, or havent met anyone that has listend to this album and turned into someone better.

Free Music Review: A Little's Not Enough
Hit: 5 Stars

I don't usually write reviews but this album warrants one. I love concept albums but this one has immediately moved into my top ten of all time.

I was not a big fan of Blink 182 but this in many ways is the antithesis of Blink 182. This album is deeply layered and spiritual, yes spiritual. I find myself listening to it and seeing stories play out in my head. It's spiritual and visual. You could see Tom DeLonge moving in this direction with his work on Boxcar Racer and Blink 182 songs like "Down." But this is an exceptional piece of work. Coherent and heartfelt. This album while using imagery from WWII, could just as easily speak to a war of the heart.
If you've only heard "The Adventure," listen to the whole album. Visit the website, watch the videos and see if you don't start seeing images. If you're looking for catchy pop tunes, they're here but the underlying message is so much above your average pop album.

I can't praise this album enough. Listen to it in the dark with candles. It's an amazing ride. I can't praise it enough.

Free Music Review: Freakin awesome
Hit: 5 Stars

I don't like to label my taste in music - i.e. emo, punk, rock, alternative, hard rock (like a lot of reviewers) but I know good music when I hear it. I heard 'Star of Bethlehem' on radio during the holidays, was blown away, and I immediately downloaded some of their songs. I didn't know Tom Delonge was in this until I went to the website. What a great surprise not only is this incredible music but a nice change from Blink. You can tell they took their time with each song and this will be a quality album in 10 years plus time. This is a progressive album as in ahead of the emo or punk crowd by a longshot. I hope they stick around because their live shows will only get better and so will their albums. This is amazing stuff for a first album - looking forward to many more albums to come ! The depth of the music, the restraint that comes with experience as musicians, the drummer and yes Tom's vocals are really unique and unlike a lot of crap being played on the radio. AAAwesome !Looking forward to the next album !!

Free Music Review: U2 crosses Pink Floyd with the voice of Blink 182.
Hit: 5 Stars

This cd is so incredible. The drummer of my band is a huge Blink 182 fan, so he knew what Tom DeLonge went to do after blink ended. He had the Adventure single. That song was incredible. I looked into Angels & Airwaves more, and I heard a few more songs online, and I fell in love with their sound. It's so different, beautiful, and lifting. Tom's voice fits in perfectly with his new band. I bought We Don't Need To Whisper the day it came out. I put it in, and loved every song. This band is SO different than Blink. I like Blink 182 and everything, just Angels & Airwaves is so much more grown up, and this album is a masterpiece of 10 well crafted songs. If you don't have this, it's a must. Seriously. It's not like some new punk or emo crap coming from bands that play 3 chords and all their singers can do is scream about nobody caring about them shooting themselves in their well of despair and tragedy. Anyways, BUY THIS ALBUM IT WILL ROCK YOUR WORLD. It's really well done, and worth EVERY FRICKIN PENNY!

Free Music Review: gets better and better
Hit: 5 Stars

First of all i want to state that I am a Blink fan and the lead singer of "AAA" being a former member of this band i do make little comparison but not so that it reflects my 5 star rating.

It's hard to describe the excellence of this album. There are no filler tracks what so ever. Every song on this album is a hit. The lyrics are well-written, standout Start the Machine, and musically every song is well composed, standout The War. The Adventure, current single, is one of my least favorite tracks of the album and yet it is still an excellent song

Many have compared Angels and Airwaves to U2 and Rem, i would agree with this comparison. So, in comparison to Blink , I would compare "AAA" to most of the songs on Blinks last album primarily the last track. You wont find any "All the Small Things" "First Date" "Rock Show" similarities here.
