I have been waiting on this flavor from Angie since her first CD. I have enjoyed listening to Angie's music for the most part, but her previous CDs lacked consistency in my opinion. But this one...this is a 'sho nuff grown folks joint from beginning to end. This disc conveys the essence that I always knew she had and could eventually reveal. On this disc, she and the music are mature, she's romantic and her vocals are straight. Rather than give feedback on every song, let me say that each possesses quality...each in its own way. My favorites are - 'These Are the Reasons', 'Sit Down', and 'Wait for Me', but ALL the songs are good. My least favorites however is 'Happy Being Me', which is a quality cut, just a little too acoustic for me to totally grove with it. Thank you for this one Angie, girrrllll. You hooked it up for a sister in her late 40s who's tired of this immature, talentless music that's in rotation. Free Music Review: Wonderful!

Honestly, it took listening to this cd twice before I liked it, I was still on the high of listening to Jill Scott's Real Thing and was comparing it to that, big mistake. The two are totally different, I found this cd to be more laid back. There is only 1 song that I skip, but the rest I love. This cd is the perfect music to ride to. This album is incredible. It's one of those albums you just play all the way through till the end a rare treat nowadays. This is my first time listening to her album so I looking forward to hearing her previous material. Angie's cd is jazzy sexy... This cd is soooo nice. I love the Angie and Betty Wright collab...wonderful. I have this and Jill Scott's on constant rotation. If you're over 35 damn near 40 then you will appreciate the neo-jazz sound for which Ms. Stone is known to bring. Keep doing you Ang!
