Ani Difranco became one of our greatest living musicians with this album. Her ability to show every side of relationships, especially the disappointing side, is revealed in one beautiful meditation after another. It is those soft folk songs that make the album so moving: "Hell Yeah", "Overlap", "You Had Time", and "Falling Is Like This". The uptempo songs are fun, if slightly annoying ("Face Up And Sing"). And finally, Ani synthesizes her societal concerns and personal angst perfectly in the title track. There are a few cranky throwaways ("The Diner", "If He Tries Anything") but "Out Of Range" is an absolute classic.Free Music Review: This CD is GREAT!

The tales on this tape are strong, memorable. I've woven them into my being through the years... consciously and not. There are tales of strength, sadness, lust... pain. It's a beautiful story. I especially like 'Hell Yeah', 'If he tries anything', and the sad, solemn 'You had time'.
