This album is definitely one of her greatest. Ani live is always great to listen to. Her music is more jazzy in this album but just as she suspected, the more the merrier. Her band started off as just her and grew from there. Now she sings backed up by trumpets, saxophones and accordians. Her singing style changed a little bit too. It's good to have the old Ani back. This is a truly superb CD, giving new fans exposure to the old folk sound that branded Ani. What's more, the new stuff is chilling, powerful, and packed with meaning. This is what we've come to expect from Ani, and this is what she delivers, again. "Grey" will speak to a lot of listeners, as will the rest of the old and new tracks on this CD.Free Music Review: Can't get enough of Ani

I have to admit I am a fan. I have every CD including the imports and I spent one whole summer in college following her performing live. I love ANI. Her music has always spoken to me when I have nothing else to comfort me. This album is a live album, somewhat raw, but still Ani. If you have never seen her live, buy this album and then go see her. Having brushed off listening to Ani in the past, I found myself grooving heavy to this live album of her's while listening in the book store one day. Not to say I'm not hooked, but my impression was that her studio stuff was too talkative, and not enough rhythm. To date, I've bought 3 more Ani albums and encourage anyone who doesn't think they like Ani to check out this one!Free Music Review: What more can we expect?

This is absolutely everything I thought it would be. The live performances are awesome. I was a little dissapointed that Ani wasn't releasing a studio album of all new material, but this definitely satisfies my need for a new Ani DiFranco CD to my collection. Ani DiFranco, she is a true woman artist. She kicks Michelle Branch and Avril Lavigne in the a$$ any day.
