I watched Anita perform in "Jazz on a Summer's Day" and was immediately hooked. "Live in Tokyo '63" seemed to be a sensible way to get further acquainted--I was not disappointed. What a collection of fabulous songs! There's plenty of variety here to keep even the flightiest of minds entertained (not to mention, bewitched, bothered, and bewildered.) In my humble opinion, the price of the cd is fully justified by the final note of "Stella by Starlight" and "Love for Sale" alone. And what she does with "Sweet Georgia Brown" is just...sublime. Her sexy, laid-back vocals could warm even the coldest of nights.
