I watched Anita perform in "Jazz on a Summer's Day" and was immediately hooked. "Live in Tokyo '63" seemed to be a sensible way to get further acquainted--I was not disappointed. What a collection of fabulous songs! There's plenty of variety here to keep even the flightiest of minds entertained (not to mention, bewitched, bothered, and bewildered.) In my humble opinion, the price of the cd is fully justified by the final note of "Stella by Starlight" and "Love for Sale" alone. And what she does with "Sweet Georgia Brown" is just...sublime. I first heard Miss Anita O'Day in 1956 at a friends house and have never ceased listning. she was a natural jazz voice and her interpretations of the lyrics swung every time.whether in front of some of biggest bands or small groups. this album is a glowing example and I do not why it so long to be released.Free Music Review: This is quintessential live performance CD of Anita -

I like this CD because it's live and she really takes advantage of that. From hard swinging to gentle,she does a great job in her unique way!!!
