Free Music Notes for Russian AlbumFree Music Review: Anna with her teacher,in her theatre, in her town, in russian Hit: 5 Stars
Hearing Anna singing in Russian is a delight. She spreads through the CD
the main Russian opera composers we are not used to hear, from Glinka, Rachmaninov, to Rimsky-Korsakoff, starting and finishing with Tchaikovsky. Her voice is more than a coloratura, besides she is an artist who performs placing the soul of the character in her voice. The quality of her swinging is remarkable.Highly recomended.
Free Music Review: A great voice, and great music Hit: 5 Stars
One of the best and most delightful CDs I've purchased this year. Highly recommended. Don't be put off by a prejudice against "heavy Russian stuff". This young soprano's voice is slightly on the dark side for a true soprano (which for me at least is a plus), but is as agile, expressive and simply beautiful as anyone could wish for, or even imagine. I hope to see/hear her live someday.
Free Music Review: I love it when she sings in Russian!! Hit: 5 Stars
I find myself always using food metaphors to describe voices... Netrebko is amazing in any language certainly (like perfectly oaked chardonnay), but when she sings in Russian... The thing that comes to mind is 'amuse bouche' - it's like every phrase sung is a scrumtious little morsel delicately prepared and bursting with flavour. Ahhhh.... Delicious!
Free Music Review: Great CD. Hit: 5 Stars
This CD combines knowledgeable artists about the subject of Russian music, unsurpassed talent by the singer, and a superb sound production. This is world class stuff you can get just for a few bucks.
